Some of the most amazing animals on Earth are members of the viverrids family (lat.Viverridae). Some of them look like a cat, others look like a bear, otter or raccoon. In fact, they are a separate family of mammals from the order of carnivores.
Unfortunately, many civerrids are subject to hunting and captive breeding. They are obtained for the sake of tender fur and edible meat, but mainly for the sake of the civet ingredient, which is used in the perfumery and medicine industries.

Asiatic palm civet
"Kopi Luwak" is a type of coffee that is known especially for its particular processing method. The word "kopi" in the Indonesian dialect of the Malay language means "coffee", and the word "luwak" is the local name for the palm of the Asian palm. This civet avoids human adjustments. The local population destroys civets as much as possible, as they consider them harmful animals that harm ripe bananas. In some places, they are hunted for meat, feathers and body parts used in folk medicine.
Veteran genetics range from Senegal to Somalia, southern to Namibia and South Africa. They are mobile, dexterous animals capable of jumping up to two meters in height. Not only do they climb well on the branches of trees and shrubs, but they also run well on the ground. Genetics have retractable claws, just like in a cat. In Africa, genetics are kept in homes for the extermination of rats and mice.
Fossa is the largest carnivorous mammal of the island of Madagascar, which at the same time is the most ancient representative of civerrids. Fossa tries to stay away from people, and only attacks pets in those rare cases when there are no other victims. The main food of the fossa is lemurs, which are caught by a smart hunter in the trees. Fossa has retractable claws, resting and licking, like all cats.
