Think Positive
One of the best advice to give to a troubled friend who comes to you is to be positive. "Think positive friend", the speed says but honestly, it's hard to do. But when you do, you are sure to get good results.
Did you know that when you start to think negatively and you do not make a way to get rid of it in your mind it is as if you are accumulating garbage that you are piling up and hiding.
What do we do with the trash, not thrown away? Likewise negative thinking, it is a dirt or clutter in our mind that needs to be disposed of immediately.
How can a person be said to be negative? Of course when all thought is ugly. Too advanced to think with suspicion of evil. Those who are hopeless and all that comes out of their mouths are complaints and doubts.
How can you resist being negative? You will always remember that when you start enjoying the ugly mind it is hard to stop it. Especially if you are used to doing it. It is easier said than done to be positive. But when you focus on changing your ugly beliefs and exchanging good views, there are ways that are sure to help you change.
Here are ten tips you can take in case negativeness attacks you.
1.Pray sincerely
There is nothing greater than the power of prayer. Whatever way you want to talk to God, He will definitely listen. You can still cry, tell stories, ask and be thankful despite what you are going through. Never forget God in your life.
2. Smile
Look in the mirror and observe your beautiful / handsome self with a smile. Repeat “I can… (what you want to happen or come true)” over and over again. Do not forget to always smile. Easier to smile than to frown (try…).
3. Avoid negative people.
Do not neglect socializing and communicating with others. Often, the habit of your constant companion becomes your habit eventually. So choose who the friends will be with. Choose who gives good advice, who has a positive outlook on life.
4. Change the theme of your thinking from negative to positive.
Take time to think about the good things that can happen. And here you focus your attention. For example, instead of thinking, "I don't have a job, where can I spend it?" Replace it with "There is a good opportunity waiting for me I will soon get and I will earn a lot!" (I have no job = negative. There is a good opportunity waiting = positive.)
5. Be responsible, take action.
You can't just think, of course at the same time it is action. For example, you lost your job, and you became positive that you could earn a living right away. Don't just sit back and wait, you must act and do everything you can to solve your needs.
6.Turn your attention to helping.
Take your attention away from yourself. You can do simple things that will make others happy. Can help clean your church, participate in the work of your barangay, and any service you know will make the work of others easier.
7. Remember that it is normal to make mistakes.
Sometimes when we have sinned, we drown in repentance and feel as if we do not want to wake up the next day. Everything we have done wrong has forgiveness. All problems have an answer. It is normal to make mistakes, no one is perfect. If you fall, just get up again.
8. Have fun such as singing, dancing, playing your favorite sport or exercising.
Singing in a happy tone and with lyrics that give hope is a great way to move your negative mood into a positive mood. Sweating is the same as exercising or even walking or playing a sport. This will definitely make you feel better and you will be able to pay more attention to positive things.
9.List at least five things you should be thankful for because you have it now.
Once you realize that you have a lot to be thankful for, you will also learn to pay more attention to the things that will help you get up.
10. Look for positive quotes. Listen to inspirational talks. Read a motivational book.
