Mayon Volcano is an active volcano in the province of Albay, on the island of Luzon in the Philippines. The volcano is famous for its almost "perfect cone shape". Mayon became the northern boundary of Legazpi City, the busiest city in despacito Bicol. It was first declared a national park and a national protected land on July 20, 1938. It was renamed Mayon Volcano Natural Park in 2000.

According to volcanologists, it is a stratovolcano or composite volcano. Its seemingly symmetrical kona is formed by the overlap of lahar and lava flows. Because it has erupted nearly 50 times in the last 400 years, it is considered the most active volcano in the entire country. It is located on a convergent plate boundary1 between the Eurasian Plateau and the Philippine Plateau place where a continental plate and an oceanic plate meet. Here the lighter continental plate pushes down the heavier oceanic plate; As the rock melts, magma forms.

Mayon volcano has 47 eruptions in history; the first was in the year 1616 and was followed by several more explosions or explosions to the present day. The strongest eruption of Mayon volcano was on February 1, 1814. Lava flooded the town of Cagsawa and killed 1,200 people. The bell tower of the town church can only be seen below the ground. Pyroclastic flows, hot ash killed 77 people, mostly farmers, in the last Mayon eruption in 1993. In 1984, more than 73,000 people were evacuated from 'danger zones' according to scientists of the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology, no one was reported dead.
