Pampanga Philippines is known as the capital of the best sausages, tocino and tapa — leftover dishes, still a dish. One of the first to try their luck in this business was the couple George M. Dungao and Teresita G. Olilia-Dungao.
The couple started their small business in 1972 in the kitchen of Mr. Former councilor Wilfredo C. Dungao Sr. and Mrs. Sevilla M. Dungao in the town of San Fernando, Pampanga.
The couple only started with five kilos of meat, and tried different recipes until they got the right mixture for their tocino. Just like any other small business, they have a house to house for sale. It started selling to acquaintances and neighbors until orders for the couple continued to increase. From five kilos, they needed ten kilos of meat to support their costumers.
Just a few weeks after the tocino sale, the couple recovered their investment and then they started making longganiza.
To get fresh meat and spices, they start shopping at the market early in the morning. Until the afternoon they wrestle the process of making tocino and longganiza from preparation, mixing, repacking and delivery the couple will work together.
Their team work is not only effective in integration but also in business.
They repackaged tocino for 500 grams, while longganiza sold per dozen. The couple spends the morning making their product and in the afternoon they take it to their customers.
Just a year later their product had a name, called Tita’s Kitchen. Thanks to the support and faith of their parents, the couple continued their business until it grew and became known in Pampanga.
The couple brought their product from the province to Central Luzon and Metro Manila. They also had employees to produce the necessary supply to their costumers, who were not only households but also restaurants and restaurants.
Tita’s kichen aims to help the livelihood of fellow Filipinos. From their product objective “Helping Filipino people make livelihood”.
The couple did not make short cuts in making their product as well as their business so their promotion was continuous. From the small kitchen now Tita’s Kitchen has a plant and meat dealers.
Not only did the couple last but also their business, Tita’s Special Pampanga meat products have been on the table for 45 years. Their product has expanded not only tocino and longganiza, they also have bacon, ham, hotdog, burger patty and tapa. These foods make our morning delicious and the value of their products is still affordable.
So advice to couples who want to try business, not only dreams are important, organization of diligence, courage and certainly not only love will grow as well as the business founded.
