My Perspective of Success- A must read!
Before anything else I would like to clarify that I respect everyone's definition of success. Your definition might be contrary to what I am divulging in this article, but let us not make that a hindrance to a possible bond of friendship that we could make in this platform. Let us just choose to agree to disagree. May this article be an instrument to challenge the readers to get on their feet and to go grab every opportunity that they will come across with in the crossroads of life. Opportunities that will serve as their springboard towards the pinnacle of success. *For me, success is finding the real purpose of your life and pursuing it with all your might.* Many people today are sidetracked by their **family**, **fame**, and **fortune** when it comes to defining success. **Family** We are already in the 20th century but still a lot of Filipinos are very traditional when it comes to rearing a child. This *"I know better for what's best for you"* line of most Filipino parents has crippled the future of many young people. Many of them end up pursuing things that are not really for them but for their parents. They thought that they are doing a noble sacrifice for their mom and dad only to find out in their old age that they are haunted by tons of *what ifs.* The sad part... they are already too old to pursue the things they really love. Those things are now bygones- lost dreams of the past.
**Fame** Others spend their lifetime pursuing for recognition. They thought that being popular would put them on the pinnacle of success. But no, they end up being chocked by the demands of other people. They lost their liberty. They lost their privacy. They lost their identity. They ended up living for others. They gave up of who they really are. Fame drowned their real dreams into oblivion.
**Fortune** This one is the most popular definition of success. Many people thought that amassing wealth is the real deal. They envisioned that living in luxury would satisfy their inner self. But yeah, a lot of them ended up suicidal instead. They found out in the end that money really can't buy love, loyalty, tranquility, and many more. They ended up realizing that wealth is like a thief who robbed their time and peace of mind.
What do you really want? Why are you here? What is the purpose of your existence? Ponder upon those things. If you already have the answer, then by all means pursue it. The road towards it maybe tough and rocky. Your family may hinder you in achieving it. Win them over on your side. Prove to them that that thing is your life. I tell you, only those who have the courage to pay the price of their dreams will someday enjoy the benefits of success. Do not let your dreams die. Do not let *'what ifs'* fill your heart with regrets. The time is now. Go grab your dreams! GOD BLESS. @rgPhotography "Telling stories through the lens."

You are right sometimes people are influence by their family thus doing what they didn't really want to do in the end it's hard for them to achieve success as they don't like what their parents choose for them. And also some thought they are successful because they are rich and have many money but in the inside they know for themselves that they failed.
yes leejhen. and i really pity those people who have chosen the wrong path for their individual life. They are exerting too much effort on the things they dont actually care about. Thanks for dropping by 😊
your welcome have a nice day.
You can say your successful when you see your self happy and your family having all the thing they like. Less worried financially. We don't need to be rich to be successful. Just having the things that can aid our everyday life is success. Enjoying the things that you do. Even if your the richest person in the face of the Earth you can never buy a second life. Live the life enjoy what you plant. Give and give and give endlessly. Sharing the rest of what you have is success. Just take plenty of what you need and give until you can because the real success will be measured here after that the big deal not here.
agreed. to sum it up... success is where your heart is... regardless of your financial status just as long as there is contenment and comfort, there is joy and harmony. And yes, the real score will be in the life after this. Thanks for dropping by @salma24
Wow. Thank you so much for making an entry for my giveaway event. I must admit, I had goosebumps reading it. I agree with your definition of success. Indeed most people nowadays think that having those 3Fs in life is what will make them successful. Sadly, these things are only temporary in this world. They waste their time in achieving all of it, only to find out that the things they have been chasing will never make them happy. What makes life meaningful is when you get to do the things you love, you get to know your purpose on Earth, and you do everything to pursue them. However, I don't mean that people who are chasing after these 3Fs are wrong. We can't judge them if that is how they define success in their lives. Thank you for this article. :)
THANK YOU. I agree to what you have just said.
hehe i missed that part, lol 😂 I should have clarified in my article that those who have a different definition of success, especially those who are somewhat contrary to my definition, are not necessarily wrong. Subjective it is--- each one has his/her own perception of the aforementioned word.
Honestly, I'm really amazed.
thanks for that compliment Allan. I need that. You know, human as we are, no matter how strong we think we are... there will come a point in time that we need a lift from others to satisfy our hunger for the sense of belonging. And yeah, though short as it is, I can still feel the sincerity of your compliment. Sincerely, THANK YOU
for me success is something you start of and finishes the way you want it,
thanks. i respect that.
Wow. I like the 3Fs key points in giving your definition of success. That is indeed true bcoz we cant deny the fact that maybe not all but nowadays people are really hook up in that 3F ,considering that if you have that 3 your already successful. But what matters most that success can be define only by our own means, its just like what you said finding our own purpose and achieving it. Thank you for sharing your views and opinions with this matter.
thanks for checking my article @chelout. I really appreciate you coming by my page. Yes, those 3f's are false definition of success for me but I still do respect those people who hold a different view though. ☺️
