Manage Your Emotions On Your Entrepreneurial Journey
You have a great idea, so you can start a business. Sometimes you may hear that people say to do a job, make money and when you have money, start doing business.
Sometimes it implies that if you have money, you can do business, and that's it. Of course, you need money to start a business. There is no way you can ignore that. But what you deal with on an emotional level, can you handle that as an entrepreneur?
There are valid reasons people do their job they hate and don't take initiative to do something on their own. When you take initiative to do something on your own, there is a huge risk. What if that fails? If there is some support behind your back, you are more likely to take the risk because you know in case something happens, you will get the support to stand up again.
When you take initiative to do a business, you are not going to start making money quickly. It takes time to get to a level where you will start making money. You have the patience to keep working and you are working hard.
But people around you say a lot of things that are not positive. It does not hurt that much when unknown people say negative things about you. But when you see people who are close to you are involved in gossiping and spreading negative things, that can hurt you pretty bad.
People who are close to you, you expect support from them. They don't have to support you financially, but at least they can support you emotionally. Unfortunately, you might not get that from them.
Suddenly things change. You do not have money like you had before. Your business is at the beginning stage. You expect to start making money from your business at a certain time. But it does not happen at that time.
You know it will work. You just need to keep working. You will hear things like why you are working so hard when you are not making money. Instead, you can go back to do a job, and make decent money. It will not stop there, you will hear comparisons like someone at your age makes that much of money, but what's your financial situation now?
You need to have thick skin to deal with this kind of situation. It seems your world turns upside down. What you are telling yourself at the moment, that's the most important thing. No matter what other people or even people who are close to you think about you. You know what you are doing, and where you want to be in the future.
If you can put your head down and keep working, your results will answer everything on behalf of you. You have to have patience and control your emotions. Staying calm in a situation like this is great quality and you can navigate things in a better way. You will not take any decisions based on emotions. It will help to move your business in the right direction.
