So many people have asked this question countless times: "what is life?" but none of them have been able to get a satisfactory answer for such question. I personally have even googled the question "what is life?" and I too couldn't find a satisfactory answer for it, and this has been making me to think if life actually has a definition.
If we can't find a satisfactory definition for 'life', how can we truly make the best of life without understanding what it is?
someone said: "abuse is inevitable if the purpose of a thing isn't known," but to know the purpose of a thing we first have to know what that thing is. So, if we can't find a satisfactory definition for what life is, how can we find its purpose?
I have sat down and thought deeply about this concept of life and what it true meaning should be and I've come to realize that life is too broad, deep and wide to be given a general definition. Nobody can define life in a way that it will relate to everyone, the only way that anyone of us can define life is in relation to our individual self.
Life as a whole has no meaning; the meaning you will get from life is the one you choose to give to it. It is the definition you choose to give to life that will govern how you will relate with life and life with you.
How seriously you will take life and how meaningful it will be to you is dependent on the definition you choose to give to it. Nobody can define life for you, only you can define life for yourself. And until you find your own meaning of what life is to you, you'll keep getting lost in this deep, broad and wide entity called life.
The compass that can help you to navigate through life is the meaning that you choose to give to this broad concept called life. That is to say that, your life will be as meaningful as the meaning that you choose to give to it.
So many of us are just wandering in life because we are yet to sit down and ask ourselves this simple question: "what is life to me?"
If you can find an answer to that question for yourself, you'll be able to find your way through life. So the real meaning of life is the meaning that you choose to give to it because your life will be a reflection of your definition of life. So I want to ask you now: "what is life to you?"
