Anger is an emotional response to internal or external stimulus. One of the problem most people trying to manage their anger issues have been experiencing thus far is that they try to manage it from the external angle only without paying any attention to the internal triggers such anger emotion may be feeding on.
Most times, it's not what is done to you or said to you that triggers the response that you give, but something underlying, and until you address that underlying trigger you will always have great difficulty controlling the anger emotion.
What does this imply? This simply means that the easiest way for you to manage your anger issues successfully is to know it's root cause. Sometimes you may think that what was done to you was responsible for why you acted the way we did, but you keep acting same way even under different scenarios.
There are times you reacted angrily that you even felt ashamed of yourself for reacting in such a manner and wondering why you had to act in such way. This is because your angry response is a stored one that only an understanding of its root cause can help you manage it successfully.
If you don't know why you act that way, you may never devise a way to stop yourself from acting such way. I've been a victim of anger and it almost ruined my life, but access to the right knowledge helped me to manage it successfully and subdue it.
So if you want to manage your anger issue successfully, you must seek the right knowledge that will help you discover the root cause of such anger. It's not just about filling journal columns, it's more about knowing why you act such way and finding a way to monitor yourself and stop yourself from giving out such reaction whenever such internal stimulus get triggered.
