We cannot do 'Everything' but we can do 'Something'.

Refusing to do something is the biggest mistake in our life.

Small changes at the most crucial to change ourselves. I don't know if you agree with me but this is what I learned from my life.

We usually think that we are just an individual, we can not impact much, we cannot change other' life. But THIS IS NOT TRUE. As an individual, our impact may be very small but at least we can do something.

Just think, if all do 'something', in the end, it will become everything or at least add up that will help to change for the better.

You can take an example from your life or your surroundings, and I will understand what I am trying to say.

When it comes to reducing pollution/waste, recycling or changing our lifestyle, helping others, improving others' life; we really can do something from our end. When will start to refuse to do something thinking that it will not add up; that's the step back for the whole society!

And this is actually what happens to us. From our end, we are refusing to do something in every aspect, so people who are in need are not getting anything.

I always believe that everything adds up. Every action, our every behavior, response; everything. What we do to ourselves, to our surroundings, to others; everything adds up in many ways. And that's why do something, even spreading happiness through our smile can add great value.

I was reading a social media post, saying that the government should withdraw one or two taka notes. Because their exchange value is very low. Yes, it is a fact. People these days don't use things to buy something or for charity. But I believe, it adds up. Maybe not economically but from a charity perspective, it adds up. And if you look at our religious understanding, even giving a taka is a charity; even a smile is a charity.

And when it comes to improving our society, we always can start with something very small. Like waking up early in the morning, reducing our mobile use, or anything like this. It doesn't take much and that's why we usually ignored changing this.

But doing this 'something' can lead us to 'everything'.

What do you think?

Hi, remona, and welcome to read.cash. Hope to see more of your writings soon.

You are right that "doing something" makes a difference. Never forget that even the ocean is made up of an endless number of droplets, and every droplet counts.

You said it correctly. Every droplet counts. That's why we need to add something good every time. Thanks for the warm welcome. Just landed here, trying to learn and read more.
