Things we need to do differently to reduce Climate Change.
Bangladesh is a prime example of climate change. We are the generation that witnessed the change in bear eyes and continues to see the change every day.
The hot summer, lack of rain, flash flood, drought, cyclone; we have everything. Having all this, when I see some people still don't take climate change seriously or doubt its seriousness my eyebrows go up automatically. I feel like, come here and witness how real it is.
Being a resident of this area, one thing I always feel is how we can reduce climate change. The major thing that constantly pops into my mind is the way we use resources. From production, usage to distribution everything is connected. The number of unnecessary things we produce, and the number of things we waste are enormous.
Take examples from food, clothes, or any lifestyle products you will understand what I'm talking about.
The thing is no matter what you do in other parts of the world it will still impact another part. So we need to be more careful and conscious.
If we focus on the usage of resources, we can automatically get connected with how we can reuse, reduce and recycle. It's not impossible to reduce climate change but it's our intention.
Another thing is, I believe, taking action from a personal level is much more effective than we think. We always can't force the government or the world leader to take bold actions nor they are gonna listen to us. So it's better to take action in everyday life to reduce resources, to make a less negative impact on climate change. Gradually it will make an impact.
Moreover, shifting lifestyle or adopting alternative can be a cleaver idea. The truth is, we can't change the industrial world overnight. It will still produce all the greenhouse gas. So it's better to adopt a lifestyle for a climate-stable planet.
I have been to some climate change-affected areas in my country like Sunamganj and Satkhira. I have seen people struggle for drinkable water, producing food, shelter, and whatnot. It's not just high time but it's the only time we have in our hands to take action.
We can do so many things, just Google it and see how much impact we can make from our personal level. It's possible to make a positive move but it depends on how much aware we are and how seriously we are taking this.
I believe, the more we talk about this the better we will understand.
Take action from your level, now.
