Just when we think we have learned the way to live, life changes.
Today, one of my closest neighbors went abroad and they will probably stay there for a decade or so. I was really attached to her, she was like my sister. Our sons were also of similar age, they used to play together a lot. I will sure miss them.
For the last couple of days, I was helping her with packing, shopping for the last-minute things, and all. She was also quite busy finishing her visa, vaccination, and other procedures.
Today, we had some time to sit and talk face to face, maybe for the very last time because I don't know if we will get another chance to meet again. Maybe I would be in another living area, maybe I would not be alive by then, maybe they will not come back to the country again, who knows! Life is so unpredictable!!
So I was thinking...thinking about life. After seeing her packing everything for a new place, a new beginning, leaving behind almost everything; I was thinking about how life changes. Especially the part about leaving behind. She sold some of her furniture, and electronic gadgets, and gave some to her relatives. When everything was gone, she had her plants sitting on her balcony. They didn't know they too have to leave the home.
She is so generous, she gifted some of her plant cutting to me and distributed some to neighbors and relatives.
I can relate to how the heart can ache for the living things because I left some of my plants when I was shifting home. But the thing is, she will not see them again.
Just when we think we have learned the way to live, life changes.
This is the ultimate truth.
In every step of my life, I felt this. If I talk about my financial management, maybe that would be a perfect example. Just when I think I have done fixing things, I have spent enough to upgrade life and all, that's when life comes with something unpredictable, with a lot of expenditure. It happens so frequently, that I thought I was not good at financial management. But later I found out this is the way of life, it happens to everyone.
It's true some changes come with a great chance. So there's nothing wrong to change and live a different life.
