If you are looking for the authentic taste of Bangladeshi cuisine then this dish can be a good option. Moringa fruit and sun-dried lentil dumplings are two traditional things that we add to our curries. Both of them are not highly available for the whole year so we try to enjoy them as much as we can during the season.

Let me share the step-by-step process of the recipe.

What do we need?

  • Moringa fruit/drumstick and sun-dried lentil dumplings.

  • Potato

  • Onion and green chili

  • Cumin

  • Turmeric powder

  • Salt

  • Tomato (optional)

  • Oil

I cooked this dish a month ago, now drumsticks are not available in the market. I already miss this dish.

Let's see the process.

Fry the onion and green chili in oil till golden brown/soft. Then add the vegetables.

This is the sun-dried lentil dumplings (bought from the market) which we need to bake for a minute on both sides till crispy.

Add the spices accordingly.

Give it a good mix and cook through. It will take 12-15 minutes to cook.

When the dish is perfectly cooked and soft, add the tomatoes and cook for another minute.

Before turning off the heat I added some mixed spice powder as well which is optional. But it enhances the taste.

The curry is done. Enjoy it with rice or roti.

This dish is so simple but full of flavor. The texture of the lentil dumplings adds a great taste. Also, the drumstick is full of nutrition and tastes quite diverse. On top of everything, this dish reminds me of my childhood. Probably that's the reason I love this curry.
