Joker has some complex characters, but what are their MBTIs? That might explain a lot about them.
The 2019 psychological thriller Joker will probably leave a lasting legacy as one of the best DC films ever made. Joker was the first-ever R-rated film to gross over $1 billion dollars. It was also the six-highest grossing movie of 2019. And even though critics weren't completely convinced (68% on Rotten Tomatoes), the movie got nominated for 11 Oscars.
10.Franklin Murray - ESFP
Gotham talk show host Franklin Murray was enjoying success with his show Live! With Murray Franklin until he decided to get into Arthur Fleck's business. After seeing Arthur's clips on the internet, he gave him an invite to his show, not knowing that Arthus was descending into insanity.
ESFPs love to be in the limelight. They thrive when they are the center of attention and never hesitate to entertain others. This explains why Murray was a successful talk show host. He enjoyed joking about everything too but sadly, he went too far by making fun of Arthur. AN angry Arthur proceeded to shoot him dead live on air.
9.Arthur Fleck - INFP
One major trait that INFPs are known for is fantasizing. They sometimes get lost in their daydreams and that's exactly what happened to Arthur. The villain spent a lot of time fantasizing about a number of things, including life as a famous standup-comedian and as well as a relationship with Sophie.
For INFPs, the present is always temporary, since they believe the future will better. INFPs also live by their own values and that's why Arthur (The Joker) appeared to be amoral. He didn't flinch when he killed the three men at the train station because he didn't feel it was wrong. He had no problem shooting a TV host live on air too.
8.Detective Garrity - ISTJ
Detective Garrity (Bill Camp) was a Gotham City Police Department officer. He was tasked with investigating the murders of three Wayne Enterprises employees who had been killed on a subway train. He singled out Arthur Fleck as a suspect and managed to catch him. However, he lost him again during the Gotham riots.
ISTJs are also known as "The Inspectors" since they enjoy enforcing order within systems. They are often serious and formal. They prefer to see rules and regulations being followed, as well as morality being abided to. As a cop, Garrity is definitely the perfect candidate for this personality type.
7.Alfred Pennyworth - ESTJ
Alfred appeared briefly as the majordomo of the Wayne Estate. One day, he found Arthur Fleck playing inappropriately with a young Bruce Wayne and stopped him. Arthur went on to reveal that he was the son of Thomas Wayne, but Alfred wasn't buying it. After a brief struggle, Alfred kicked Arthur off the premises.
ESTJs are also known as "The Supervisors" and this describes Alfred perfectly. He was tasked with taking care of almost everything at the Wayne Manor, including raising Bruce. ESTJs are known to be good at organizing projects as well as people. They make sure everything goes on without a hitch and that's why Alfred was quick to stop something (the interaction) that he felt wasn't right.
6.Thomas Wayne - ENTJ
Bruce Wayne's father Thomas was a supporting character in the film. He was a wealthy industrialist who founded Wayne Enterprises. And after seeing how criminal gangs were taking over Gotham, he decided to run for mayor in order to fix the city.
Thomas Wayne's actions make him an ENTJ. People exhibiting this personality tend to be natural leaders hence they are also known as "The Commanders." Whenever they spot inefficiency, they step up to fix it. They are also never afraid to say what's in their minds and this explains why Thomas made polarizing comments that caused riots in the city.
5.Gene Ufland - ENFJ
Gene Ufland was a Gotham City resident who worked as the top producer on Franklin Murray's popular talk show, Live With Murray Franklin. Gene was seen with Franklin when Arthur came for the interview.
4.Sophie Dumond - ISFP
Sophie first met Arthur at the elevator of the flat they shared. He began making faces at her daughter and she was clearly not impressed by his actions so she suggested that he ceased. The interactions Arthur had with her after that, including having romantic relations with her were later revealed to have been his own imaginations.
Sophie qualifies as an ISFP due to her quiet and reserved nature. She preferred to be alone with her daughter and to mind her own business. Even in Arthur's fantasies, she still ended up rejecting him.
3.Bruce Wayne - INTP
Bruce didn't do much in the film but he played a significant role. When Arthur Fleck came to the Wayne Estate, Bruce was eager to find out who the man was. Arthur went on to create a smile on Bruce's face using his fingers and the young boy didn't really stop him or run away despite the fact that he was inside the gate while Arthur was outside.
Bruce can thus be described as curious. He was eager to find out who the man really was and what he was up to. Finding meanings behind things is something INTPs are known for. They don't ignore or back down from challenging situations.
2.Carl - ESFJ
Carl was the clerk at Arkham State Hospital. He had a fruitful conversation with Arthur during which the villain asked him if all the people at the hospital had committed crimes. Arthur then confessed that he had done some bad things too and he didn't feel bad about it. So, Carl told him he was just a clerk but advised him to see a professional at the hospital to help.
1.Penny Fleck - INFP
Penny was Arthur's mum who allowed him to be abused as a child. Despite having adopted Arthur when he was a little boy, she convinced herself that he was Thomas Wayne's son who he sired while she was working for him. She told Arthur this and thus Arthur ended up believing it.
Penny believed that Thomas was capable of helping her overcome all her problems. And because of her fantasies, she also qualifies to be an INFP like her son. She showed no remorse for the terrible way in which she raised Arthur, meaning she was guided by her own principles that she felt were right.
Just wonderful description of Joker Character.
