The world we live in 10 years from now does not depend so much on this 2020 Presidential election. It depends on you. You control your own future. And you control the future of our society. The people are ultimately in control. Whether Democrat or Republican, so many people are voting against the system. Many people will vote for Trump wanting to get rid of Biden-style corruption and the "Deep State." Many people will vote for Biden because Democrats have the reputation of being for the little guy versus the big rich Republicans. Either way, the preponderance of people want less of a corporate controlled society. And yet Americans vote for the same old corporate control, over and over.
Today, the day after the election, 2 months from now, next year and on. It is your conversations with people. It is how you live your own life. It is the example you set. It's what you try to bring about. That will be the world you will live in 10 years from now.
Do Americans want 2024 to be the biggest most important election? 2028? Or do Americans want to start living better now. Just do it in your own life. Be the change you want to see in the world.
The future can be a) more freedom for people, led by those that can just b) be real, c) bringing about better outcomes for all people.
Real. Who can just talk to people? Authentic. Confidently be and talk about who YOU are and what YOU believe. Letting others talk about how they see it. Not to change anyone's mind. Not to win it for a political gang. Because you genuinely want to learn and care. Not to prove how you are on the good side. Not because you have a chip on your shoulder (or the chip in your arm everyone will all be getting soon). You just are.
Let others be. Let others be different. Are you anti-religious? Well, let others be religious. Be confident in who you are such that you don't need people to all conform. Don't see others as the problem because they don't see the world how you do. This should be the ultimate future:
Those that can accept OTHER PEOPLE'S FREEDOM.
The U.S. might not lead the world in the future. Can Americans grasp these simple truths? The U.S. seems now to have too much top-down following. A citizenry too wealthy to stand out. Fewer are wanting to take the risks. More and more Americans just want to follow. Other people in the world will lead if the U.S doesn't.
The corporate-banker elites want a one-sized fits all world. They want everyone chipped, every currency transaction monitored. They want control. That will win out in the relative short-term. But it's not the long-term world we should live in.
Whether you are a progressive liberal or a conservative, at the root of any of your most favored issues it should be freedom. Freedom to be who you are. Which means... freedom for others to be different from you. If you are free; they are free.
This means more state, more local; less country, less global. We need a world of a million traditions.
In other words, if people like apple pie and fireworks or they like Hindu rituals, what does that matter? That's what we celebrate. Our personal traditions are what connects us to those we care about. That's what intrigues us when we meet new people. And. That. Is. Life. That is a life worth living.
Conservative Americans are not the problem. Being liberal is not a problem. Trying to control all of it. That's really what is a fundamental problem. Is America going to 'get it'?
The current guard wants to lock the whole world of their wealth in place right the way it is now. The future will be owned by those that can allow freedom of all ideas and competing interests.
Either way, it does put the U.S. relative wealth and security in jeopardy. It makes a more vibrant world with more winners. It is a better future, but it will be different.
The U.S. can choose to embrace the unknown and uncertainty (such as doing things like not worrying about ANY Democrats or ANY Republicans) or Americans can play it safe and stand by in their relative wealth and watch much of the world pass it by.
