We need real changes to leadership to achieve an economy that has meaning for people.
A centralized Federal Reserve running the economy from a New York City bankers perspective (here) has no vision of what "maximum employment" means.
The government is going to give money. The government is going to provide "monetary policy" help.
If we are looking to this for job growth it isn't going to happen without vision that reimagines our world. Scroll through here and here (and in particular, Kampung Admiralty in Singapore, here).
There needs to be vision and big ideas. That is what drives meaningful employment. Look far from the media to find this type of vision. Vote for new people. Don't be afraid of big changes. It is the only way. New infrastructures. New buildings. New ways of living. Shaking up the status quo, embracing innovation. You have to look way outside the smoke-and-mirrors (like an impeachment trial, really? Or flying to Mars. That isn't bold vision for jobs for a world of 7 billion people). These are Hollywood-produced news distractions. Our current political establishment isn't going to bring about a better world.
There is innovation happening today and around the world. But a lot of it you have to dig for. It needs to be front and center. People need to be inspired with ideas of our human potential and what is possible. Scroll through the images here. Will this work? Will these designs pass a test of time? At least it is boldly reimaging. And without this type of thinking out in front, talk about 'throwing money' at job creation is meaningless. We need jobs that create a better world and give dignity. Not just money to get to another day.
