A, B ,C, D, E, F, G, Stop! Thinking about the past is a good exercise, as long as we don't get stuck in it.

Hello my dearest! Happy Monday to all 💕 We've been without internet service since Saturday afternoon and it just came back. Phew! I thought Id have to spend another day without publishing here and not making the weekly earning for our household expenses. Luckily, it came back, hopefully to stay, and so I decided to publish two articles today, the one for yesterday and the one for today. It's funny though, how we are so depending on the internet, I wonder how we'd go around without it. We need it for everything, for work, for errands, for games, for communication, for memes, the list is endless. But I still remember a time were internet wasn't around, cable or satellite TV wasn't around, and people were happy and resourceful. The messages arrived, and forms of entertainment were out for grabs. I can recall one of my favorite games from when I was a child, it's called **Stop**.

This game is super easy and very instructive as well. It can be played by anyone who wants to participate, there's no specific number of players, and man, I promise you'll learn plenty. Let me explain how it's played. Each player has to be equiped with a piece of paper and pencil, that's all you'll need plus your brain. In each paper the plyers have to make a chart with the following: ***Name*** ***Last Name*** ***City*** ***Thing*** ***Color*** ***Flower*** ***Fruit*** ***Animal*** When the player are ready they have to decide who starts, maybe a coin toss could suffice, we pick the person who's idea was to play in the first place. Anyways, that person has to choose one letter from the alphabet and each player has to pick a name, last name, etc, that starts with the letter choose, like so: The letter is B: Bárbara, Batista, Barcelona, BCH, Blue, Begonia, Banana, Bison. The first player who finish all the topics with the chosen letter yells **STOP**, and the rest of the players have to stop even if they aren't finished. Of course, there a score, with **100 points** for each word that it's unique and nobody else has it. For example, nobody wrote Begonia, so I get 100 points for that one. But if someone thought of it and wrote it down as well, each player gets only **50 points.** At the end of the game each player sum's up the total and whoever scored more points wins.

We played it on Friday, when the internet was down for the day. Without internet there wasn't much to do around here and we got bored pretty quickly and started to remember what we did when there wasn't things like the internet and cable TV. We started to play and the laughter filled up the house, for we got stuck in the most silly things, like a name that starts with A. The game showed us for one thing, that we need more of this kind of exercises for the mind. I mean, the day after the words started to pop out of our heads without even playing. It showed us that we have more knowledge that we thought we had and that it's necessary to remember that from time to time. The other thing it showed us is that fun can be found in the simplest things. A piece of paper and a pencil can be just as fun as a online Poker Game, or the Top 20 list of Most Watch Shows on Netflix. And it's an opportunity to learn and to strengthen bonds with those around you. When I was little, this game was a must in our family routine, and I learned plenty from it, I got to use what I learned in school, practice my handwriting, my speed, and I learned from the ones who were more advanced like Mom and Dad.
