Position Vs Truth
The day of the Lord Jesus' victory over darkness!

Pilate where is your truth?
On this Easter day, I dig up stories to be a reflection material for the lives of believers as an alignment of thought patterns when making decisions.
As a leader with strong integrity, he is a person who has been filled with wise decisions but in fact proves that between truth and position are two elements of concrete contradictions and often become feuds because there is no equality when decisions are passed.
Pilate is the most admired leader that is a statement I received since childhood when following the teachings of a Sunday school teacher but in reality humans are still humans because their nature will change from time to time.
In the Gospel of Mark 15:14-15 says...then Pilate said to them, "But what evil has he done?" But they shouted louder and louder "Crucify Him!" and because Pilate wanted to satisfy the crowd, he released Barabbas for them. But he scourged Jesus and handed him over to be crucified.
Truth Analysis
Actually Pilate already knew that Jesus was innocent.
The priests and scribes have made slander against Jesus that Jesus was guilty.
Wrong decision taken by Pilate.
The pressure of the crowds so influenced Pilate.
Analysis Of Position
Pilate's decision to hand Jesus over to be crucified was to keep Pilate's name from falling in front of many people.
Pilate's position as Leader was everything to him because he didn't want his position to fall.
Pilate only satisfied the desire of many people so that there would be no commotion in his leadership.
This is where human selfishness even though they already know the truth, but because of the attitude of wanting to maintain self-esteem and position, the right to truth becomes a victim. It doesn't matter how big the lives of their fellow humans are but for the sake of their position they are willing to commit unrighteousness.
How about today are there Pilates today?
The reflection of this story illustrates that when a person experiences severe pressure from the pressure of many people, it will make him think about finding ways that he can protect himself.
Community pressure often encourages leaders or officials of a region to make wrong and inappropriate decisions.
Be a leader who is obedient and faithful in promoting the rights of the community by having high integrity. If it's wrong, say it's wrong and if it's true, say it's true. The human heart is volatile today is precious but tomorrow it may be useless, regarding sweet promises are only illusions, their truth has been lost by space and time.
It's so sad today that leaders want to hid the truth just because they want to remain in their position and never fall out of it. The truth is that when the time comes, they will taken out of the position when the truth is being exposed.
