Bangladesh Navy can think of it!

The Italian aircraft carrier Giuseppe Garibaldi, which could replace the Trieste in 2022. It is said to be the smallest aircraft carrier in the world. The Bangladesh Navy may try to buy it. What are you wondering? Let me tell you the reason. There is a strong possibility that it will be decommissioned by 2022. Where it costs 1.5-2 to 10-15 billion dollars to build a new warship, the Navy can buy and service this small and decommissioned warship because it has such experience in the Bangladesh military. And the cost will not be the same as the new ones. And the price should not be too high for service.

The Bangladesh government may try to buy through diplomatic efforts because a lot of weapons are being bought from Italy. The 990-foot-long Chinese warship Liaoning's body cost only ২০ 20 million. There is a 591-foot-long, 13,000-ton Giuseppe Garibaldi. Since Bangladesh is dominating the Blue Economy and the economic situation is getting better and if it wants to build big warships in the future, it will be useful as a handcuff like our old submarines. If it can be kept in service for 15-20 years then it is impossible to make anything new in 2038-40.Because emerging powers (Turkey, South Korea) are now building aircraft carriers or helicopter carriers. ইতালির বিমানবাহী রণতরী Giuseppe Garibaldi যেটা কিনা ২০২২ সালে Trieste এর যায়গায় রিপ্লেস হতে পারে। এটাকে পৃথিবীর সবচেয়ে ছোট বিমানবাহী রণতরী বলা যায়। বাংলাদেশ নৌবাহিনী এটা কিনার চেষ্টা করে দেখতে পারে। কি অবাক হচ্ছেন? কারণটা এখন বলি। ২০২২ সাল নাগাদ এটা ডিকমিশন্ড করার সম্ভাবনা প্রবল। একটা নতুন রণতরী তৈরিতে যেখানে ১.৫-২ থেকে ১০-১৫ বিলিয়ন ডলার লাগে সেখানে এই ছোট ও ডিকমিশন্ড রণতরীটি কিনে এবং সার্ভিস করে নৌবাহিনী ব্যবহার করতে পারে কারণ বাংলাদেশ মিলিটারিতে এরকম অভিজ্ঞতা আছে। আর খরচও নতুন গুলোর মত হবেনা। আর সার্ভিস করে দামও বেশি পরার কথা না। বাংলাদেশ সরকার কূটনৈতিক প্রচেষ্টায় কিনার চেষ্টা করতে পারে কারণ ইটালির কাছ থেকে প্রচুর অস্ত্র কেনা হচ্ছে। চীনা রণতরী ৯৯০ ফুট দীর্ঘ লিয়াওনিং এর বডিটা মাত্র ২০ মিলিয়ন ডলারে কিনা হয়েছিল। সেখানে ৫৯১ ফুট দীর্ঘ ও ১৩০০০ টনের Giuseppe Garibaldi কিনতে একটুত চেষ্টা করাই যায়। বাংলাদেশ যেহেতু ব্লু ইকোনমি কে প্রাধান্য দিচ্ছে এবং অর্থনৈতিক অবস্থাও ভালো হচ্ছে এবং যদি ভবিষ্যতে বড় রণতরী তৈরি করতে চায় সেক্ষেত্রে এটা হাতেখড়ি হিসেবে কাজে লাগবে আমাদের পুরনো সাবমেরিনগুলোর মত। এটা যদি ১৫-২০ বছর সার্ভিসে রাখা যায় সেক্ষেত্রে ২০৩৮-৪০ সালে নতুন তৈরি করা অসম্ভব কিছুনা। কারণ উঠতি শক্তিগুলো (তুরস্ক, দক্ষিণ কোরিয়া) এখনই বিমানবাহী বা হেলিকপ্টার বাহী রণতরী তৈরি করছে। তাই, বাংলাদেশ নৌবাহিনী এটা ভেবে দেখতে পারে।
