Importance of National Language

National language is very important for a country. National language plays a central role in the freedom of a nation. The national language of a country reflects its culture, art, religion and its ambition. It is the mirror of its social situation in our own country. We have our own national language Urdu. But it is sad that we do not strive to promote, it as much as we can. Most of us try to educates our children in the western type schools. The importance of English cannot be denied. It is an international language and it is the great medium of understanding and communication between different nations. But it does not mean that we should discard our own national language. If we weaken the language through inattention and laziness, we are sure to undermine the very foundation of our culture and country.

The French lost their freedom at the hand of Germans because French did not want to learn their national language.

In Pakistan, we must introduce Urdu as an official language of the country . Moreover, we should try to learn it as seriously as possible. We must love, respect and promote our language along with the learning of English.
