Friendship means mutual understanding between two intimate persons. Man is a social being. He can not live alone. He wants a companion. He can not do even a single day without the help of others. He depends on others.
He needs other's help. This dependence results in friendship. Friendship is a social virtue. It is a great blessing in life. A good friend is better than reputation and wealth. A true friend always stands by his friend in weal and woe. He does not play false with his friend.
He does not leave him in danger. But nowadays true Friendship is very rear in the world. Most of the friendship is a hypocrite. Most of the friends are summer birds. They come to us in a good time and leave us in our evil days. Anyway, it is not easy to make friendship and keep it.
It requires faith, honesty, sacrifice and good understanding to maintain a good friendship. Friendship exercises a great influence on character. If your friends are good, your character will be good. But if your friends are not good, your character will not be good.
