What do you know about Modesty Blaze in the comic in which she is the main character? Peter O’Donnell created this legendary female character. The creator of the idea, O’Donnell, described her as a feminist and individualistic female character, and yet some journalists assessed her as a “feminist icon”. Not much was known about this girl when she managed to escape from captivity, during the war, from a camp located in Greece, writes the Comic Blog. Seemingly gentle and fragile, but disobedient, she managed to arrive, in a wave of refugees from the Balkans to Persia. When she saw that an old man was being robbed of food, she jumped in to help and managed to save him, and since then, that man, gifted with wisdom, has become her mentor, guardian and companion. He also gave her a name, Modesty, and she herself chose the surname Blaze after one of the characters from the legend of King Arthur. She was a master of survival. Nothing was foreign or difficult for her, she worked and stole, she tried in every way to get some food, and so she continued with her mentor until one day she became a worker in the club of a bandit, a certain Lusa.
Modesty head of the gang, gathered it and preserved it, and then the real life began.
In reality, in order for the Germans not to occupy the eastern oil fields, a young non-commissioned officer in charge of the communications detachment was assigned to Persia in 1942 to reconnoiter and report a possible enemy attack, which did not take place. That young man was just PiModesty Blaiseter O’Donnell. Just then, while they were resting, because their work was not in their favor, while they were eating, a small dark-skinned, black-haired figure appeared. It was a girl, scared like a wild beast.
O'Donnell immediately realized that it was not an Arab woman, but most likely refugees from the Balkans, of which there were, although not in large numbers. She was afraid of everything and every member of his team, but she still took a meal and help at least in the food and drink they offered her. She continued on, lost somewhere, but her gentlemanly, above all proud attitude, O’Donnell never forgot. A little more than twenty years later, a proud and strong female character emerged, Modsty Blaze, a world-famous comic book heroine, as part of the memory of a war veteran.
I remember this comic ... I know it had about 100 sequels.
