The animated series "Tom and Jerry" was created over a period of time by several excellent producers. It was designed by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera in the early 1940s. The two of them wrote and produced 114 cartoons at the "MGM" studio in Hollywood. After a period of time in which several producers took turns, Tom and Jerry reappeared in a series of cartoons produced by Hannah-Barber in the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s. The first episode was made in 1940, and it was called "Puss Gets the Boot".
The space in front of the TV would be immediately filled whenever the well-known music from the rush hour was heard. The theme of this animated film is the never-ending rivalry between Tom the cat and Jerry the mouse. From episode to episode, Tom was always persistent in his intention to catch Jerry, and although he succeeds in that for a short time, the mouse somehow always, cunningly and deftly manages to escape him and outwit him. There are two dogs, the American bulldog Spike and his son Tyke. Spike is presented as the guardian of the house, a little confused and reckless. The race between Tom and Jerry often interrupted some of his important work, such as building a house or teaching Thai. Then there's Tom's landlady, who is incredibly afraid of mice. What is especially interesting about her is that we can't see her face in any episode, so the eternal mystery of our childhood remains. The episodes also feature Jerry's cousin, who has great strength, then a bird in a cage, a small mouse, Tom's friends - cats from the street, among which the most famous is the black cat Butch, as well as many other characters.
In addition to the animated series, several films have been created, and one of them is called "Tom and Jerry: The Magic Ring" and was made in 2002.
