So today for the first time in more than a year and a half I visited the city centre, because of Covid and a relatively locked down time as we don't want to expose BabyRah to possible infection. I only went as I needed to organise my documents and it was surreal - to see the world was still carrying on, but at the same time some how there was a permanence to it. I was very very conscious of larger groups of people around me, but not as anxious as I expected to be so. So that is good and much better than my summer trip to Primark with MamaRah As a bonus I popped into a British Shop and managed to get a significant amount of my Christmas supplies that are generally not available in Polish stores. Dairy Milk Advent Calendars (I know they are for children, but it is our tradition and a taste from home) Cadbury Roses Mince Pies Christmas Cake Will need to get some other stuff sent from England - most notably stuffing, custard, gravy and maybe some treats :D

Has Poland gone as insane regarding Covid as the rest of the world? Does anyone else remember when we were told this lockdown was going to last two or three weeks to "flatten the curve"?
Yes it is pretty mad as it is getting worse here and I expect another hard lockdown before Christmas. Having said that Poland is a bit mad at the moment with extreme right wing borderline fascists in charge (for example taking family planning / breeding to a level not seen since the Nazis) and the whole situation on the Belarus border which thankfully might be easing now
