Marriage vs Family

Marriage is the union between husband and wife while family is a group of people related by blood. Family could be nuclear or extended.

Many couples get this confused. They mistake marriage for family by making their children their focus rather than their spouses. They also allow their children to interfere in their marriages just as they interfere in their children's marriages. They forget that this marriage is just between the two of them. Just because the children are yours doesn't make them part of the marriage.

Although, the fact that the children are not part of the marriage doesn't mean that they aren't part of the family. They are part of the family and they should be loved as such.
