Salah Zalatimo, CEO of Voice, announced the launch of the Voice decentralized social media platform supported by Block.One. Now, after a long wait, the platform will be available in less than a month on July 4.
Salah Zalatimo's article is as follows:
Content modification is a legal requirement for all platforms, including Voice. Some forms of discourse are illegal, such as criminal content, violent and insulting content, child sexual abuse, privacy violations, and, in some cases, hate speech or violence. When the content is clearly illegal, we will remove it immediately. But these forms of speech are not always clear. Often, judgments must be made as to whether or not part of the content has crossed a red line. The most important question no one is asking today is: Who should make this judgment? Company executives? Government monitors? Elite thinkers councils?
These are crazy ideas, why don't you let people decide? Empower them. Create a platform to root robots with authentication. By protecting your personal information, eliminate targeted propaganda and prevent political corruption by organizing communities that have the tools they need to be effective in self-management. Yes you are right. It's too late for Facebook to make these changes. Our only alternative is to create a new social media that puts its members above any other priority. On June 4, we will release Voice in the World. Our journey begins there.
