4 Main Responsibility of a Father:

A father is one who are working so hard to provide the needs of his family .He is the one who are much capable to work and earn money to buy foods and daily need of his house .That's why being a father is not that easy .Now let's talk about the 4 main Responsibility of a Father.

A. Establish moral Authority.

Deuteronomy 6:4-9

"Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. LOVE the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road,when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your forehead. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates".

*Key discipline necessary to develop moral authori are:

1. To submit to the moral Authority of the road of GOD.

2Tim. 3:16, "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching,rebuking,correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work."

1. TO allow the Spirit of God to take control.

Eph.4:18, "Do not get drunk on wine,which leads to debauchery .Instead ,be filled with the Spirit.

1. To purify and obey the conscience.

1Tim. 1:15 "The goal of this command is love,which comes from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.

1Tim. 1:5-19," holding on to faith and a good conscience,which ssome have rejected and so have suffered shipwreck with regard to the faith."

1. To say no to immoral activities.

1Thess. 4:3-5, "It is God's will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality; that each of you should learn to control your own body in a way that is holy and honorable, not in passionate list like the pagans,who do not know God;".

1. To submit to accountability.

James 5:16," Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.

"The effectiveness of Father in establishing moral Authority and influence upon their children relied upon their modeling of a godly or moral lives.

B. Confer child's identify.

1. What is Identity? Identity is who you are, the way you think about yourself, the way you are viewed by the world and the characteristics that defines you.

a. Father's confers identity to avoid identity confusion.

b. What causes identity confusion:

*Force identity by parents.

*Peer pressure in teenagers

*Force identity by the father.

*Society pressured identity

c. Filter the past.

1. Choose and inculcate the right family values

2. Select the family friends with the right DNA.

3. Help children to make the right choices.

4. Guide the family mission.

Martin Luther King said: "Knowing your identity means knowing who you are not. Defining identity often requires us to define the things we do not adopt as part of our identity. The tendency of most is to adopt a view that is so ambiguous that it will include everything and so popular that it will include everyone."

C. PROVIDE SECURITY.

1. A father can provide security to this children through his...

• Conviction and discipline.

• Values

• Friends

• Choices

• Direction

• Unconditional love

• Emotional stability

• Communication

• Effort to secure physical safety

Love that brings security:

1.We will not have any selfish expectations.

1. We will not try to manipulate or control.

2. We will keep on forgiving

3. We will break down all idols.

Loving our wife brings security: How we love our children's mother is the first and primary relationship our children observe. To love our wives well is the core of our children's security. Children grow up in emotional "security complex" when they know that:

+Dad will never leave mommy( for better or for worse,until death do us part).

+Dad and mom will find a way to settle their conflicts

+Dad and mom have a total commitment to respect,comfort and support each other.

D. Affirm potential/s.

Affirmation of positive behavior produces far better developmental results than the correction of negative behavior. Simply put, affirmation is a better educator than correction

The presence of Father in the home or family is very vital. To his children He is the one who gives moral Authority,confers identity,provides security,and affrims potential ! Father's therefore,must endeavor to fulfill his Gid given responsibility so that his children will grow up with strong moral conviction, emotionally stable and productive members of the society.
