When I was a teen, I hated the pink color, simply because I don't want to be called 'girly'. I thought my favorites won't change as we grow old but they did. Later I realized how much I love the pink shade. I specifically have a shade that I love the most but regardless of what shade it is, I still love them. Now, all of the new things I bought are pink.
