Many organization and businesses has the history of starting from scratch and building it to the current acknowledged level, yet one thing they didn't mention is the fact that they started uniquely, something has got to make them different from the rest, its either its a totally new idea or its an old idea done in a new way, something has got to make it more acceptable by the general public. What's the plan for expansion, if you really wanna start small with little cash, then a lot of discipline and not touching the cash has to be in place, mind you this doesn't play too well as human needs are continuous as well as numerous.

The idea of reducing quality did come to mind, but they were smart enough to know that it was be the end to their credibility and trust. Coca cola of way back and the coca cola of this present has no difference in taste, yet it is the most consumed liquid in the world, KFC has been putting similar effort into their fries from time in memorial up till date, the competition out there is so much that you can afford to lose your position for a second, the opposition are always ready to capitalize on any slight chance they get to overthrow you. Somebody else has thought of what you wanna do, its not a matter of who starts it first, but rather who starts it best, there are financial capable people all around the world that would take your idea and overtake you in the fame of it, more reason why it's not advisable to start unrecognizable, at your start you should be able to capture attention, and acquire as much customers as possible, before tough competitors comes to share and even steal your customers, be smart to start well, no about the money, just to be catchy.
You wanna remain relevant in the mind of the people. First impression matters a lot, you should ensure they know you for quality, your high ranking enables you for setting a higher price list without any quarrel from the customers, haven't you noticed the clothing brands and how the best of them can sell their clothes for an extremely high amount, even while the material used in sewing the cloth is same cotton or silk as others, yet it high price is even encouraged cause they are known and respected to produce only quality, and top quality in fact. So your first impression gives an overview of how you'll be viewed, make it count, take it seriously, very few started up as low quality and can yet make names for themselves later on, by that time you might have lost the respect of your main circle from which would refer your next customer to you.
Be on your best always, your quality is your brand therefore guard it hard and intentional. Just starting your business is not an entitlement to low quality, work from home if possible, reduce your output or quantity if possible, reduce any expenditure excesses, but not your quality, your quality is what you have to offer to the world, the world doesn't see your work place, the world doesn't see the working conditions all the world sees is the finished and distributed product so, do make it the best, then and then they will keep coming back for more.
