Slow as hell! Go to mainnet already Voice and Reddit!

There are some projects which are so exciting but at the same time are taking forever to go to mainnet. The two that I am really hoping will go to mainnet soon as Voice and r/CryptoCurrency MOONS and BRICKS tokens.

Voice has made crypto news headlines when it purchased the voice.com domain from the now Bitcoin famous Microstrategy CEO Michael Saylor who famously purchased close to $450 million for his company and his shareholders. Voice has been a pretty good social network where there are no bots and no fake account and people can't even use pseudonyms to interact on the platform. This could be a real game changer in the world of crypto.

The second project which will hopefully gain a lot more traction is Reddit where they rolled out crypto tokens on only 2 of their sub reddits so far and even they are on test net (although they have value on test net).

These are the 2 major social networks which can bring in a lot of users and a lot of adoption and also have a HUGE upside on their token so I am really hoping they both go to mainnet very soon!

This seems to be an extremely fragile claim.
Can you link anything to where this is explained ?

I don’t know if things have changed after that but at least the first guys who were on the platform had to do that. I think that’s a pretty accurate statement.

I have personally had to submit my US drivers license and go through a KYC just to be on the platform and I know everyone else had to do the same. Also I don’t get to pick the name they just take it from my identification document.

I guess the real question then is what is the point of "Voice" ? if they have that kind of system then censorship is baked into it ?

I don't think that's the definition of censorship! Censorship means the platform cannot censor you for what you speak and I don't think Voice will censor you for your opinions.

If you really have to make a difference, after a certain point you cannot be anonymous. You have to be out there as yourself. Voice is just levelling the playing field for everyone by enforcing the same rules for everyone. It can actually become the less toxic version of social media we desperately need in this age because the ones who are really toxic on social media don't worry about who they are in person and it will not affect them in person.

What is 'Voice', actually ?
Is it a gameshow, or what ?

It's a social network just like the one we're on now. Check it out https://app.voice.com/

Thanks for the heads-up.

I guess you are right. It is not completely free but I do feel like this can make a positive impact overall. Obviously only time will tell but ya I didn’t read through the TOS that closely.

It is good you brought it out for examination.
If it does what I think it will do,
there could be some good arising from the effort: It may siphon away resources
which otherwise would be used against free speech.
Just a guess, but time will tell.
Let us behold what transpires along the way.
