Why does Japan have no Army?

I hope you are all well. Friends the safety of each country depends on its army because the stronger and more powerful the army of this country, the safer the country will be. But let me tell you, there is a country in our world that has no army and that country is none other than Japan in the list of developed countries. But the question arises as to how Japan protects its borders if it does not have an army. So let me give you the answer to this question today.

Japan is considered one of the world's great powers. Even the Japanese once dominated world trade in this way, the Made in Japan seal was also stamped under the alarm clock of the US President. Remember that Japan is also a highly developed country in terms of the industry with a large number of large factories employing millions of people. And these factories are equipped with mostly automated devices, including motorcycles, large ships, power generators, computers, iron and steel machines, chemical equipment, and high-quality goods, such as watches, television sets, electronic calculators, mobile phones, cameras, and video cameras are manufactured.

But then the question arises that despite such progress, why Japan does not have its own army like other countries, then let me tell you in this regard that it is absolutely true that they have no army. But in reality, they have a force of their own called the Self Defense Force. And you would be surprised to know that the annual budget of the Japanese Defense Forces is  49 billion dollars, which is a huge amount and this army budget is more than many big countries.

It is said that Japan was a major economic and military power until World War II and Ghamsan was advancing rapidly, conquering different countries during the war. Even its growing military might pose a threat not only to the United States and Britain but also to all other imperialist powers. And there were fears that Japan would snatch its largest colony, the subcontinent, from Britain.

But after the Japanese invasion of Hawaii, a US-dominated island in the Pacific Ocean, the United States jumped into the fray and brutally dropped an atomic bomb on two Japanese cities, Hiroshima and Nagasaki, breaking Japan's back. The attack not only killed millions of innocent Japanese citizens, but Japan surrendered and World War II came to an end. What happened next is part of recent history.

The United States occupied Japan and under a treaty assumed responsibility for Japan's defense, depriving Japan of the right to have a national army or weapons. Now it has been given full freedom of development in the economic field. Therefore, the Japanese nation took advantage of this opportunity and demonstrated its industrial and economic capabilities to the world. Japan even became the world's second-largest economy for its peaceful economic and industrial development.

But now the honor of the world's second-largest economy has been taken away from it and this honor is now with China. There is speculation that it could snatch the title of the world's largest economy from the United States. The Japanese now believe that they have seen economic progress, so they must now demonstrate their military prowess to the world and become a full-fledged military power to counter the threats to themselves.

Although a large number of Japanese still want to develop only economically instead of fighting. But there is no shortage of eagle-eyed Japanese prime ministers. That is to say, the idea of making Japan a normal country is a normal country that, like other countries, has an army and great military weapons for it.

Friends, the question arises as to why Japan wants to be a military power and who is its enemy. In this regard, let me tell you that Japan does not consider itself a threat to the United States or Russia, nor does it have a dispute with any other Western country. On the contrary, Japan sees China as its biggest threat and it has disputes with China over ownership of several islands in the Pacific.

Japan considers its neighbors, North Korea and China, to be a threat to its very existence. So now, instead of relying on the United States for its defense, it has to do something on its own and build a full-fledged army, navy, and air force. Japan does not have an army. Despite the agreement with the United States, it has an army, navy, and air force, but it has a low profile and is called a self-defense force as I said before.

Friends, regional tensions between China and Japan have also escalated in recent days, mainly due to the fact that there are many islands in the east china sea that are under Japanese control, but China has historically considered these islands its property.

I was fortunate to enjoy an extended stay in Tokyo (Oct 2000 - Mar 2002) as a researcher at a university. I had so many friends from different countries. In 2015, I visited Shenzhen, China, for an invited lecture at a conference where my Japanese professor was also an invited speaker.

I had seen a proud US professor requesting (literally begging) his lecture slot on the first day of the conference in Shenzhen, China.

I had seen how (unlawfully) US soldiers have been staying in some parts of Japan. The Japanese don't like it. Japan (and now China) have been progressing in technology. The US lost the battle on the technology front.

I am glad to hear that Japan is advancing in technology as each country fights for its independence. Let's see what happens in the future. And I hope Japan gets complete independence in the future.

Japan has been independent in lifestyle and technology for many years. The big US is captive to a small Japan for many things, including cars, electronics, cameras, etc.
