Time flies. August is here. May we have Awesome August. 8️⃣ If it wasn't FB who reminded me on this photo when my son was still young, I would have forgotten how much he has progressed. Often, I was so busy looking into this matter and that matter, I did not have the luxury of time to sit quietly and to look back on all the progress. August 2022. New month. Time indeed flies. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Thinking back, when he came home with all the medication, bi-pap breathing machine, suction tubes and feeding tube, blending food everyday for tube-feeding, fast forward till today he is 8 years old, I want to give thanks for all the love and support given, for the immense strength from God, that miracle we able to sail through the ordeal. I could not be more proud of Jansen who always amazed us. While doctor said he might have speech delay, he can talk nonstop now. While doctor said he might not walk so soon, he walked at age of 1. Giving thanks to God the hole in his heart closed up. He weaned oft bipap breathing machine and now could survive with 1 and half lungs. He learned to swallow and then eat successfully at 3 years old. Now happily eating except during complications time once a month. Eventhough now he is still way off the growth chart, we want to believe for CDH kids, they are slow-and-steady win the race. 5 more months to go and we will say hello to 2023. Friends, no matter what challenges you are going through, don't give up. But pray and let God leads you. Often, you are greater than you think. If need help, seek help and counsel. Reach out.
