Round and cute. Sweet and juicy. Very boingy too. Yup, that's ondeh-ondeh. My go-to kuih whenever I see kuih-muih stall. There were so many kuih in my area and I successfully resisted them all, except ondeh-ondeh. Do you like this snack? #malaysiafood #teammalaysia

Another sumptuous by our Aunt. We had: - Steamed minced pork topped with salted fish - Lotus root soup with chicken - stir fry vegetables - baked chicken with bolognese sauce and mushrooms Very delicious and we ate till stomach and heart full. ♥️

Who loves Kimchi ramen like I do? This is my go-to whenever I am tired. The body will crave for tastier food, not sure is it good or bad. But I also needed something quick for dinner and this was given by husband for my birthday. It is a yummy treat for me. Slurppp!!! #korean #ramen

After watching Dr. Strange with family and friends, we went to a restaurant called Black Canyon. I ordered chicken kuey-teow ladna. A popular Chinese and Thai food. Basically, the flat rice noodles would be stirred fry first till slightly crispy, then topped with savoury egg broth or gravy with vegetables and chicken pieces. This was yummy, unfortunately, I couldn't finish it because I wasn't that hungry. The fish cake my husband ordered was highly recommended, very…

The children had a blast today at Titiwangsa Park, Kuala Lumpur and the adults managed to squeeze out every ounces of energy to make this happen. Super love the water play here as well as the playground which comes with three types of playzone cater for different age group. I saw people having picnic here as well, just relaxing with family and friends. A very awesome place to be with the nature as well as being roasted by the sun. 😜 #family

Wonderful yummy cakes given by two lovely ladies @michelleloh168 and @trieors for my birthday last Sunday. These cakes were from Kenny Hills coffee shop at KL East Mall. There are: 1) Strawberry tarts 2) Kefir Lime Pie 3) Tiramisu Cake Highly recommended. And paired well with a cup of coffee! =)

When the boys were having art class, my husband and I would dine at this place called Lucky Star. Love this bowl of rice noodle soup with minced pork, pork slices, pork liver and vegetables. The soup was flavourful enough and you would not feel like eating a dish meant for sick people. We called it "chu yok fan" in Kantonis. Anyway, really give thanks for food on the table.

I always give myself a treat every Saturday to a bowl of delicious Sarawak laksa. Growing up at Sarawak, eating this dish brings so much memories. Memories with friends and family. Growing up was soooo much fun in the sense of not so much responsibilities, lol. Whenever I approach this stall, the person-in-charge will ask first, "Sarawak laksa?" It paired well with my iced milk tea. Yums!

I cooked a dish I had not cooked for very long. A simple Chinese dish of stir frying potatoes, carrots, pork and onions together, seasoned with our Chinese-must-have sauces like soy sauce and oyster sauce. I added on another simple dish of onions omelette. They love these dishes so much that they finished the dinner in no time. This is superb Happy Mother's Day gift for me. 😍🌹🌸

Last week during school holiday, the boys had some fun time at bowling nearby our area. The eldest truely enjoyed but the youngest couldn't hold the bowling ball as it was too heavy, the lightest we could find was number 7. Nevertheless, had a photo with the bowling balls. Later, he had his bowling session at the arcade next door. Hope next round, we could find bowling ball number 5 which will be lighter for my youngest son. #holiday #sport

Finally, I get to go out with husband for my belated dinner celebration, which was eating. Haha. Yup. Celebration = Eating. 😁😁 We went to Dave's Bistro Bar and Grill and ordered a mini platter which wasn't mini at all. But looked mini in the menu. On top of that, we ordered pork belly salad too and a fish & chips. I was feeling full halfway eating the salad so couldn't eat much of others. Husband gotto eat 4 pork ribs as I only could eat one. Lol... Highly recommended…

Whenever the family feels like eating something else other than rice or noodle, we will go for CCF aka Chee Cheong Fun. It is rice noodle rolls which come in either rolling-round shape or rolling-flat shape. We opt for the flat one. And you get to choose other stuff like fish ball, stuffed ladies fingers, bean curd skin, pork fat slices, fried dumpling, taiwan sausage, stuffed brinjal, stuffed soft tofu, sausages, egg tofu, etc. This round, instead of choosing the usual…

The easiest lunch to cook is Japanese curry chicken rice. For whatever reason, children love Japanese curry. It has that sort of taste which opens up the appetite immediately. I used the pre-made Japanese curry roux because to cook it from scratch would take longer time. Also a stir fry vegetables and herbal chicken soup. We love to eat dishes like this with rice. Yummy in the tummy. Grateful for food on the table.

We had impromptu dinner at "I LOVE YOO" upon hubby's plan. Sadly, all the noodles were sold out, which I wanted to try. So we were having scallop porridge. It was super flavourful and we paired our porridge with fried 'you tiao', as well as herbal chicken. As usual, their fried 'you tiao' was super crispy and inside fluffy, their herbal chicken was perfectly cooked, the chicken soft and savoury with herbs. My husband ordered 8-treasure porridge which came with an egg in the…

I had yummy lunch yesterday at my aunt's place. She cooked us radish soup with chicken, baked chicken with soy sauce, stir fry pork sliced with preserved salted vegetables and stir fry ladies fingers with curry powder. Super duper yummy! =)

A friend of mine suddenly remembered me. 😂 And she bought some skincare products for me saying we all gotto take care our face while we still can. It is good to catch up after years of busy taking care of babies. Now that, our babies are older, we could have some time for selfcare. And also extra goodies for the boys - strawberry jam marshmallow. Yums

@pinkjadeite

One of my favourite dish to cook, learned from my mum. This is called boiled pork belly with dipping garlic sauce. It is really simply boil the whole chunk of pork belly in pot of water container ginger, garlic, spring onion and bay leave(optional) till soft. Usually, after we boiled the pork belly in a pot of water, we also used the same pot of water to cook a vegetable soup dish. For the vegetables soup, I added in carrots, tomatoes, celeries, cabbage, tofu, fishballs and…

The burgers we had been waiting for yearly at McDonald have arrived. Not sure this time how long will they be in the menu, so we quickly took opportunity to eat. It is their Samurai and Shogun burgers. Also Sumo one with everything double. I chose Sumo Chicken Burger to share the patty and fried egg with my youngest, because although I loved everything doubled in the burger, I did not prefer my body fat layer doubled. Husband only ate McDonald once a year so he ordered extra…

Cooked this some time back, called 'nam yu' chicken pork and usual stir fry vegetables with garlic. 'Nam Yu' is Chinese fermented bean curd that consists of rice wine, fermented red rice and other seasonings make it extra flavourful. Just marinade the chicken with 'nam yu' is sufficient enough. We ate these with a plate of warm rice. Just some simple homecooked food.

Today, I don't new food to share because I am tired and sleepy taking care of my youngest son who is having diarrhoea. BUT, I remember I have not shared this, taken last month when it was Ramadan month. Anyone here love roti bom? Not me though. It is similar to roti canai but it is thicker and flakier in texture. Most amazing is it is made with ghee/butter and sugar and layered with condensed milk. For those with sweet tooth, you will like it. Like my sons. Every bite has…

Anyone who is like me? Like to explore washrooms at mall. Especially to look out for special design or decoration. This one looks cool and creative to me. Needless to say, I asked the son to be my model. Haha!

I am craving this dessert suddenly, perhaps because the weather is so hot. This is Len Chee Kang which we got from street stall during Bazaar but not sure still can find back the samw stall. This was really good with 15 ingredients according to the seller; taro ball, jelly, chia seeds, longan, snow fungus, barley, nuts, etc, which I couldn't catch what else the seller said. Super refreshing dessert. Yums!

@pinkjadeite

I met up with a friend because we had not catched up with one another for so long. It was so good to be able to meet and to chitchat. We went to a restaurant called Old Town White Coffee. We both loved coffee so that's what we ordered, cold for hers, hot for mine. She ordered 'nasi lemak' with curry chicken and I ordered springy noodles with fried chicken. The food were delicious. She also ordered a snack of curry puffs for us to try. Not the best puffs but acceptable.

@pinkjadeite

Rainy day today. And really feel like drinking soup and soup only. So I made this sour preserved vegetables soup, adding fried egg, tofu, tomatoes and mushroom in it. Sourish, saltish, very flavourful. Yums!!!

@pinkjadeite

My heart is still heavy thinking about the gunshot at Texas. So many innocent lives taken. I have children too, I can't imagine myself never able to see them again, to kiss and to hug them again. But to bury them and to say goodbye. My condolence to families who lost their loved ones, to teachers who lost their colleagues and to children who lost their friends. 😢😢😢 Heavy heart....

@pinkjadeite

One of our favourite place to have lunch with the kids has gotto be Lucky Star restaurant. Because, I can always access to my favourite Sarawak 'Laksa' , and the boys can have the big portion of 'nasi lemak'. Love the Nasi Lemak stall here because they have vegetables servings too. I would order a plate, added extra rice, ordered extra fried eggs, fried chicken and luncheon meat and the boys shared this serving together. They love it. As for my bowl of Kuching Laksa, of…

My aunt cooked super sumptuous lunch yesterday. A big portion of fish filler nuggets and chicken slices nuggets, stir fry broccoli with carrots and mushrooms and minced pork dumplings soup with prawns and vegetables. Very very yummy. We feel so blessed.

We went to a restaurant called Soru Station and I ordered this mini platter to share with my husband. It was supposed to be for 2-3pax. It had fries, cheesy wedges, grilled lamb and grilled chicken as well as bolognese pasta. The platter also came with two sauces; black pepper sauce and creamy mushroom sauce. The taste was good, and considering it wasn't expensive, I would say it was worth it.
