Becoming a good writer takes a lot of hard work,  "anyone can write but not everyone can write ", as an individual to better your writing skill you must also be a good reader and observant about the things going on around you. When you start writing as a newbie you may find it difficult but with more effort you put into continuous writing the more improved you will get.

These days a lot of people are making large sum of money through their writing skills, thanks to platforms like uptrennd and steemit many good writers are being compensated and this is encouraging new writers in to the field.

If you want to better yourself as a writer you have to learn to buy good books and read,  know what is happening around you so that you can take advantage of it and write your article, you should also be on social media because that is where you can share what you write and some better writers will read and correct you on what you need to improve on.

If you want to be a better writer you must have a notepad or jotter that you can take note of things, sometimes as a writer sit with your pen and paper for inspiration can come at any moment and you can come up with a great post or articles.

There are many ways a writer can better his/herself.

Be consistent in writing: Try to write every day, or multiple times a day if possible. The more you write, the better you’ll get. Writing is a skill, you have to practice it to get better. Write stuff for yourself, Write just to write, and have a blast doing it. It gets easier after awhile if you practice a lot.

Learn from good writers: follow up good writers and learn from them, don't feel you know all if you want to go far as a writer,  always be ready to learn and have new ideas to go about your writing career.

Be creative: Just because you want to emulate great writers doesn’t mean you have to be exactly like them. Try out new things. Steal bits from other people. Experiment with your style, Try out new words. Invent new words. Experimentalize everything. And see what works, and eliminate  what doesn’t.

Have a writing timetable: Have a certain time  when you can write without interruptions, and make it a routine. For me, mornings work best, but others might find lunch or evenings or midnight hours the best. Whatever works for you, make it a must-do thing every single day. Write for at least 30 minutes, but an hour is even better. If you’re a full-time writer, you’ll need to write for several hours a day, as I do. But don’t worry! It helps you get better.

Some of us were not born a writer but we learn to become one with consistency and hard work, do some research about that topic you want to write about because it will help you a lot.
