Alcohol as we all know has been a challenge over a time due to excessive consumption of it. Sometimes it is good to take it but the dosage matters a lot. Some of the negative effects of alcohol intake includes both physical and mental challeges, liver damage and different forms of cancer.

Research has shown that an antioxidant and chemical compound found in grapes and red wine called RESVERATROL has anticancer properties.
They destroy cancer cells and hence can help in cancer treatment. They achieve this by:
1. making the cancer cells more sensitive to chemotherapy by affecting the proteins that resist treatment.
2. Ceasing the energy source of cancer cells and decreasing their functions.
3. They cause apoptotic cell death of the cancer cell.
The challenge so far is the dosage and concentration of the alcohol. Further research is being carried out to perfect it.
