Love is lacking in the world today and so many don't know the meaning of love. Love has been reduced to emotions of sex and this has done more ham than good.
We neglect God and go about making efforts to love and we're wondering what are we not doing right. The love so many are yarning for is not emotional but empathy with deep sense of responsibility and commitment. This is only possible with the help of the holy Spirit.
How do we explain the rise in suicide, depression and loneliness despite the numerous love songs that are making waves. So many things are being done in the name of love which love can best be described as obsession.
The world is growing in selfishness on daily basis despite the quantum efforts being made to turn the earth to a global village. We have phones and internet to help us stay closer in touch but we've drifted further apart. Rather than use the phone to connect to each other and increase love we connect to the phone and love the phone in stead and became more selfish and self-centered. Unfortunately we can't understand why because we don't even realize our errors.
We must come back to God and give Him the first place in our hearts and then we'll be able to produce and give the kind of love needed in the world today.
