I used candles in my very tender years. The term "burning mid night candles" were very much literal to me as I had to always use that, not even a lantern.
But not until I saw a picture online, I noticed that some persons live like a candle in their daily lives and as surprising as it sounds, they get little appreciation or reward for the type of thing and commitment they have towards the life of others.
Now I'll show you what it means to live like a candle.
Giving your light to others
Just as the candle gives light to everyone in the surrounding, these people are always ready to share some brilliant ideas to others around them. They beyond that try to be of help to all they can help and even try to go further. In short many around them can't do without there presence as they are obvious source of joy to their fellow humans.
Diminishing in the process
One noticable thing about a candle is that for every ember of light, for every second that pass by, they become shorter. Shorter not because they choose to be smaller in size but shorter because they put so much in the life of others that they forget the limits!
Now candle is a small source of light but it's not comparable to the one that comes from the sun, but yet the sun looses nothing.
Coming to our daily lives, let me tell you this;
You can commit yourself to making others around you very happy and getting to enlighten them easily but please don't do that at your own expense. Don't make it for every person that smiles you are dying within.
Selfishness is a bad thing to practise, but remember that it's with the measure you care for yourself that you get to extend to people around you, not vice versa.
Therefore, love yourself, create smiles to crease the beautiful face of others but instead be like the sun. Gather for your survival and share big.
