When I was a child , I enjoyed every bit of it. I played without thinking. I had so many friends . We will go to each others homes and played till our parents will start looking for us.
We loved going to school. We loved going to church. We loved holidays, Christmas, Easter you name it.
We didnt have to pay school fees, pay light bills, pay transport fees, pay DSTV, recharge our phones and still buy data. We didnt check our account balance to know if it will last us till the next pay day. We didnt care who was President or governor, we just memorised their names for social studies class. We didnt care about stock market or price of dollars
Then all of a sudden we got tired of being children we wanted to be in control of our time. We were looking forward to when we will leave the house and go to the university. We wanted to play adult by using moms lipstick or wear daddy's shoes . We started becoming stubborn and even reminding our parents that we are no longer children
Now we are adults and we have seen that it's not easy to be adults. Now we have to pay rent, furnish the house, save for marriage, pay all kinds of bills including repair of street transformer . Haba😳😳
We don't even sleep again because the price of ETH and 1UP is falling, the stock market has crashed. The bae is cheating, the government is corrupt, husband has refused to come, inlaws are asking for grand children, schools are charging for online school even though it's my data 😥😭😭😭
Yet someone has the guts to tell me to grow up. Grow up and do what please.
