# 1 Bitcoin drops 35% in COVID-19 week

The coronavirus (COVID-19) has affected the entire world population in several ways, and with the financial market it would be no different. In the last week cryptocurrencies had a drop that surprised everyone, with bitcoin having a cumulative drop of almost 40% in just 3 days.

The most significant point of this drop is the fact that bitcoin has suffered the worst daily loss in almost 7 years, and all this is due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Many people rescued to make cash,” says Safiri Félix, executive director of the Brazilian Association of Cryptoeconomics.

With bitcoin coming in at almost $ 4,000 dollars, this historic drop was not the only one in the financial market, almost every investment medium experienced unexpected declines and triggered some desperation in investors.

“But just as quickly as bitcoin falls, it can rise again”, adds Félix.

# 2 Financial market reduces growth forecast for 2020

Financial institutions that were consulted by the central bank, released a reduction estimate for this year's economy.

The estimate for this year's GDP (Gross Domestic Product) was 1.99%, after the events with the financial market and the coronavirus, that number dropped to 1.68%.

Even though the dollar reached R $ 5.01 last week, the estimate for the closing of the dollar this year is R $ 4.35, and in 2021 it will reach R $ 4.20.

The Selic rate also changed in its estimate for 2020 and 2021, despite changes from the end of 2019 so far, there was a reduction from 4.25% to 3.75%.

Other changes will also be made, bank interest, adjustments in the economy and the situation of the coronavirus so far, may cause more readjustments in percentages throughout the year.

It is not known how this will directly affect the population, but the estimates are not positive for anyone.

# 3 Entertainment in 2020 is stagnant!

The coronavirus is reaching a shocking stage for the world population, with the number of infected people reaching 175,000 infected worldwide, world entertainment is also being prevented.

After several events focused on world entertainment have been postponed and / or canceled due to crowds of people from around the world, airlines are also canceling flights to some destinations.

E3, the world's leading gaming event, announced on Wednesday through ESA that it would be inevitable to reach that conclusion.

"After careful consultation with our member companies about the health and safety of everyone in our industry - our fans, our employees, our exhibitors and our longtime E3 partners - we made the difficult decision to cancel E3 2020," said ESA in its official statement.

In addition to E3, GDC also had its event canceled, causing all companies that would make their face-to-face presentations to do so in a livestream format.

Other major events were canceled this year for fear of the coronavirus: CinemaCon, Auto Show, Lollapalooza, festivals, tours and even the films, "007 - No time to die", "Fast and furious 9", "Mulan" and films of Marvel had their releases postponed.

Football has also taken appropriate precautions to control the virus worldwide. As of the time of posting this story (March 16, 2020, at 1:00 pm) all world championships are suspended indefinitely, with the exception of some state championships in Brazil and all official CBF competitions have adopted preventive measures.

Europe has been the continent with the most emergency alarms in recent days, many athletes and staff on the coaching staff have tested positive for the coronavirus test and have been quarantined ever since.

Arsenal, Chelsea, Hanoover 96, Juventus, Real Madrid, Utah Jazz, Celtics, Cavaliers are just some of the teams that have adopted prevention because of the positive tests in their institutions.]
