In this post we’re going to look at some of the most valuable “Evergreen” skills that you can learn, develop and implement to generate a full time income online. Giving you more freedom in your life … well, most of the time. During COVID19 you can just work from home like everyone else.
1 - Influence and Compliance.
The ability to persuade people, influence their decisions and get them to take actions you want them to take (Compliance) is a core skill in most situations, and to be able to do this in the digital world opens up a wealth of opportunities for you. These are the underlying skills for some of the most lucrative incomes there are.
With these skills you can do well in direct sales and/or marketing. These allow you to launch your own services, create your own products or easily partner with businesses needing to get more sales. Selling the right products/services and/or setting up sales funnels can allow you to generate passive income. The sweetest form of income.
2 - Ad copy (Writing adverts) .
Did you know people can be paid $100 per word for writing adverts? You’d not think of it, but there are lots of times you’ve seen something that seems very simple and is only a few words long but people make a fortune off of this … well, if their work is good and it sells the product/service it’s advertising.
The ability to write ad copy that sells is honing in on the skill set of influence and compliance, it’s just being able to do it in the written word. If you’re able to do this you can sell your own products or have a world of partnerships open to you either selling others products for them on a commission basis or billing them per word/page/site.
3 - Lead generation.
A key fundamental to making money (On or offline) is where you can provide value, you can make money. One of the ways to provide the most tangible value is to be able to generate leads for businesses that they can turn into cash. If you can provide a steady stream of good leads, there are companies who will pay you recurring income for them.
To do this you need to learn some form of lead generation. How to get people to opt into email lists, sales funnels or follow communities. Ways to find people who want to buy and how to get in touch with them. Many business owners do not know how to do this, so if you can you can become their golden goose, and have a regular income.
4 - Sales optimization.
Being able to take a selling process that is a bit “Meh” and then turn this into a far better selling system is an almost magical skill. It allows you to get the most out of your efforts and also allows you to have a lot of companies who will willingly partner with you. With whom you can negotiate good ongoing payment deals.
Imagine being able to find a random website and after looking through it for a while being able to easily spot how it could be better and make more money. If you can prove to the site owner that you can really help them to make more money, they will value your skills and this can provide you a strong income stream.
5 - Developing businesses to sell.
A very attainable way to make yourself a millionaire (Or at least make a few $100,000). Setting up a business that does not require a massive amount of running and makes a steady monthly income. These businesses can then be sold to people wanting to own a business as an asset. This gives you multiple years earnings upfront.
Especially if you’re able to build up a business where you have a customer base you are billing recurrently every month. These are high value businesses. If you can build these up to the point where they are making even just a few thousand a month you can sell them for $50,000 - $100,000 plus.
6 - Search engine optimisation (SEO).
Today it is easy to do. There was a time when someone wanted to make a website they had to know now to code the site. Those days are long gone. Anyone can do it in the drag and drop world and the most important thing now is who can get seen. Being able to master the search engine can make it you they are finding.
SEO can take a while to get going but if you can rank for good keywords you’ll get 100s to 1,000s of people hitting your website daily, and these will be people who were looking for specifically what you offer. This can generate multiple passive income opportunities for yourself or partnerships with other companies.
7 - Networking.
It’s who you know … Networking to make strong working connections with business owners who you can partner with and connecting with different markets that will be buyers for products/services you can advertise. The more people you know the more opportunities you can spot and take advantage of.
There is always someone who wants a thing and there’s always someone who wants to give them the thing, the tricky thing is, these people do not usually know each other. What you seek in life seeks you. It’s just a case of meeting the right people to do the right deals. Expanding your network is a valuable skill to help you to increase your income.
