Appeal - 'Just One Thing' Initiative
What appeals to me is the thought of living in an area surrounded by bush land, fresh water rivers/Creeks and possibly waterfalls, a swimming hole a must and above all else a Veranda with a view.
The Veranda with a view being pretty close to the top of the list.
With a view, ones vision can be extended and not closed off by the suburban fences and walls of neighbours homes. This is not only good for keeping the vision active but also good for keeping the Brain active, seeing new things every second, with a view , not only do you get the distance and the near but you also get the up, and Cloud watching is also pretty high up in what appeals to me.
When I was involved in a spiritual group, they always spoke of the person on the mountain being able to see further and therefore able to plan better for what is to come. The metaphor being the mountain is knowledge and the planning is action.
Being able to see further than your own constructed domain is beneficial to being able to relate to your surroundings that others experience. This awareness of what others experience allows you to perceive what appeals to others and this awareness of what appeals to others can aid you in traversing the shared space that we all occupy.
By understanding what appeals to ourselves and what appeals to others we start to identify the uniqueness and difference that helps define us all, we are all similar but also different, and it is that difference that allows us to be individual.
This brings me to an even bigger what appeals to me, and that is that the world is a place and space where difference is embraced and not seen as opposition, that the world understands that your difference is also someone else’s difference and just because difference exists and should exist does not make any one difference grater than another.
It is after all, Difference that makes us all what we are.
We define ourselves by what we are not and if we do not understand what we are not then we cannot define ourselves.
Embrace that of the other because it is that of ourselves
Now that really Appeals to me.
that which appeals to you is not quite distant from what appeals to me too. I'm very much attracted to quietness, serene and always love being close to nature. For me it is more than a way of life, it is bliss and health.
