Tourism and the use of cryptocurrency as an alternative
The first is for better safety and comfort in transportation.
Then there is also the ease of transferring funds (remember that bank transfers also have their problems and very high costs if they are international, and that, on vacations or weekends, it can be a real pain to try to talk to an account executive).
And lastly, I could mention the limits of cards in local currency, which has probably been covered with the purchase of a couple of airline tickets. Without the possibility of being able to access the acquisition of dollars what is the case in latin america.
The advantages of cryptocurrencies seem to be growing with time. And the fear of these financial technologies is being lost with adoption and because one thing is certain: cryptocurrencies solve problems that governments cannot solve, or of a financial economic system that has become obsolete.
HOW DO CRYPTOCURRENCIES HELP TOURISTS?
"Cryptocurrencies have long offered alternatives to citizens around the world, especially Latin Americans in general".
Many people use them as a means of legal savings when it is impossible to buy dollars; which is not only positive not only for the person who accesses the asset but also for the general economy, since the pressure on other methods of acquiring international currency is decompressed.
This can also be transferred to tourism. Those who want to travel abroad will have problems and restrictions for the purchase of tickets and other services in certain countries; cryptocurrencies can help them to plan their vacations with more peace of mind.
However, I don't think they solve the problem of lack of access to credit. There are options within the crypto world that allow for financing; one can leave their BTC or ETH as collateral and receive another crypto on loan, but I don't think we are at a high enough level of adoption for many people to take advantage of that option when it comes to financing....
