With great fright and dread of what was coming after her, she ran as fast as she could. Tears mixed with drips of blood dropped from her face as she ran -she had just barely dodged the slashing attack of something who's form was concealed by pitch black. It chased her across the dark and gloomy Woods.
The lightning struck with rage at dreadful intervals, and the mighty wind blew across the tall trees. The rain also seemed unrelenting, heavily lashing every single droplet and her clothes were already soaked with what now seemed to be a mixture of blood, tears and water from the heavy rain.
She was bearing a baby in her arms and she held it tightly close to her bosom as she continued to proceed swiftly. Still running, without stopping, she turned to have a gaze over her shoulders, it was getting closer, She faced forward again.
Moments later, the storm suddenly stopped; everything seized- This was so strange. She slowed down, this time she could already spot a shallow pit ahead. Quickly in it, she dropped the baby all wrapped in her soaked cloak.
At this point, she could no longer notice the presence of anything behind her, there was this form of stillness for a while, she was even more frightened this time. Her face looked pale, overlain with terror; each pupil held constricted within each eyeball, her heart raced heavily and her breathing was gradually converted to slow gasps.
Then all of a sudden, from nowhere, something struck her. She screamed in vain as she was being ripped apart by it's fangs.
She had just been ripped apart by something, something which she couldn't even grasp a picture of what it looked like before she was brutally whacked, all happened though as of a great flash.
With her body laying cold on the wet floor, the monster's attention seemed to have been drawn by the loud cry of a baby. It headed towards the infant, gave a fearful gaze, and with a snarl, it turned away and vanished...
