Establishing a transparent BCH ledger for a non-profit organisation - advice requested Dear BCH community, We would dearly love some advice on a BCH ledger for our organization. One.Surgery is a registered Community Interest Company in the UK (12488453) - the UK version of a registered non-profit organization. We are soon hopeful to launch our first Flipstarter to raise bitcoin cash funds whilst establishing a strong working collaboration with the BCH community. We hope working side by side with the BCH community will foster a symbiotic spirit that brings us together as we grow. We understand, building relationships between cultures, communities, projects and industries take many years, and we really want to start on the right foot. As an organization, we are committed to our goals of improving access to safe surgical care throughout the world and capacity building in the fields of surgical research, education, advocacy and clinical care. We are equally committed to financial efficiency, ensuring we are utilizing our funds for absolute maximal outcomes, and be openly transparent, to build trust both within and outside of the BCH community. We have (as of yesterday) started accepting more formally, BCH donations directly to our wallet. We have therefore launched a One.Surgery BCH Wallet ledger online (https://one.surgery/bch-ledger/) which we hope will manually curate and validate every transaction that enters and exits our wallet. We would love to get feedback on this ledger and ask, within the BCH blockchain economy, is there a standardised way you prefer this data presented, and what specific information you would expect from our online ledger in order to review our BCH finances? The article needs more clarity... But if I'm not mistaken, a fund has been launched to raise awareness and also money for those who may not be able to afford surgical care or, and to provide safe and useful surgical equipments to communities who need them most...??? About transparency, I'm always a sucker for organizations who are transparent in all their dealings especially when it comes to finances... In my own opinion.. I'll love you present to us a workable methods in which you'll love to show the disbursement of funds and let the fund raisers pick which one suits them.. If this is left as an open question, you may not achieve the goal.. thanks
Thank you Dr_Shreds, absolutely we will be flipstarting for a specific project with clear goals and timelines (not open ended). Our first phase of the project is stated here: https://read.cash/@onedotsurgery/onesurgery-flipstarter-feedback-request-b7c50d5f This particular post is more in relation to transparency and how the BCH community would like access to our ledger, and which details the community would want us to provide in a financial BCH ledger. For example, you said you are a sucker for an organisation that is transparent - and we want to be that organisation. The ledger we have developed hopes to present this, but if there is more you would need from the ledger perspective, we would be happy to have feed back. From the project and flipstarting perspective, we will describe details of the expenses and income related to that speciific project also. Many thanks for the engagement!
First of all congrats to you for this initiative !! Now while talking about charities transparency is the critical factor & when it comes to BCH community transparency is required. And for Flipstarter campaigns be as expressive as possible, pour everything you've in presentation including your idea, roadmap, goals and how you're going to achieve them. BCH community will definitely support the cause, just make sure you keep the process updated including achievements as well as failures, BCH community loves transparency. And finally congrats & best of luck for the campaign and future you're doing great job ✨

Thanks for this. BCHN does a great job, using hledger and a text based system it seems. From what I can , BCHN also include the transaction ID in their description for each transaction so will also add this!
