One Surgery Community Awards launches, powered by Bitcoin Cash and NFTs
One.Surgery is a non-profit organisation dedicated to the provision of safe surgery across the world. We know over 5 billion people globally do not have access to life saving, affordable surgery and there is a growing worldwide movement to tackle this massive healthcare discrepancy.
Over the last 3 years, One.Surgery has been developing projects to empower this movement at a grass roots level, and since 2020, we have been developing some amazing, innovative use cases to partner with the Bitcoin Cash community - understanding #bch technology and all its philosophy. We truly believe there are fundamental connections between the bitcoin cash community and our integral struggle to improve access to affordable surgical care.
We are now breaking new ground once more with our uses of bitcoin cash, and are officially launching our community awards programme (https://awards.one.surgery) giving the chance to reward excellence in the field of global surgery through Bitcoin Cash and exclusive NFT certification - as voted for by our entire combined global communities. Our first ground breaking BCH and NFT award: Voice of One Surgery 2018
Over the last 3 years, we have published a free online magazine, "Voices of One Surgery" which was designed to give a platform and voice to all those in the world striving to improve surgical care to the poorest parts of the world. By providing this media outlet, we have publishing inspiring and wonderful articles from all over the world - from Papa New Guinea to war-torn Syria, from Brazil to Tanzania, and we share these voices all over the world in our free to download publication: https://voices.one.surgery
To launch our BCH awards programme, we have started with a retrospective review of the articles from 2018, shortlisting 10 articles, with the winner of the community vote receiving:

A printed poster of their article front page (including free international shipping)

If the launch is successful, we aim to expand our awards programme and continue prospectively forward into the future, giving out more Bitcoin Cash awards to our community.
