American Airlines Senior Citizen Discount Policy

As American Airlines doesn’t show the senior citizens discounts on the website or through online booking. There is an age bar set for the senior citizen’s discount policy on the flight tickets. Passengers that are 65 or older in age can claim a discount on their flight tickets from American Airlines. 

The maximum discount on the flight tickets is set to 10 percent only. In other words, American Airlines will only give you a discount of up to 10 percent. You can’t claim a discount of more than 10 percent on American Airlines. But American Airlines only provide discounts on domestic flights. They will not offer you any senior citizen discount on international flights. Make sure that you have to make the American Airlines Booking via call or customer support because only that way they can give you the maximum senior citizens discount on your flight tickets. 

The officials might also ask you for the medical certificate to confirm if you are medically fit to travel across domestic states. Moreover, you need to carry your proof of your age that has to be shown while you are booking your tickets. Also, you need to show it to the airport too in order to confirm the discount for senior citizens. Proof of your age can be anything, your identity card (ID), social security card (SSC) driving license, birth certificate, or passport. Make sure to show one of these to confirm your actual age.
