These are the amazing things I learned from Bro. Eli Soriano's teaching on the above-mentioned topic in addition to my own personal research as well.
We have already established the truth in God's Word that the devil was not immediately cast unto the earth. We have also established the truth that God loves mankind so much and He would come into the Garden of Eden in the cool of the day to fellowship with man. The devil was cast out from the presence of God but not sent to the earth until the confrontation he had with Angel Michael where the devil and his cohorts were sent to the earth.

The devil was sent away from the presence of God and even banished to the earth which is why the devil keeps running to and fro of the earth seeking for whom to devour. Every evil spirit isn't from God. They are the works and instruments of the devil.
Because the devil wasn't welcomed in Heaven, even his accomplices are not welcome anywhere near us as children of God. Imagine the evil spirits going into the pigs and yet the pigs had to drown. It was alien and of course unwelcomed even in pigs. Let us carefully examine how they are unwanted in our lives and even with the pigs:
Mark 5:2-5 (NIV)
When Jesus got out of the boat, a man with an impure spirit came from the tombs to meet him.
This man lived in the tombs, and no one could bind him anymore, not even with a chain.
For he had often been chained hand and foot, but he tore the chains apart and broke the irons on his feet. No one was strong enough to subdue him.
Night and day among the tombs and in the hills he would cry out and cut himself with stones.
The devil was cast down after the battle in heaven regarding the delivery of the man child that was recorded in Revelation chapter 12. The devil needed leverage to come into the world and as recorded by the Bible, he was able to get to the man through the serpent.
Genesis 3:14 (NIV)
So the Lord God said to the serpent, “Because you have done this, “Cursed are you above all livestock and all wild animals! You will crawl on your belly and you will eat dust all the days of your life.
Revelation 12:9 (NIV)
The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth and his angels with him.
As a believer, we need to be wary of the devices of the devil. He has no good plans and his ways might seem enticing but at the end of it is doom, destruction and death. The Bible already warned us to be wary of the devil's devices and if only Adam and Eve knew about this, it would have limited the influence of the devil here on earth.
We are God's masterpiece and His handiwork. He made us for a purpose and that purpose must be to His glory. He would never share His glory with any man. He is a jealous God. He wants us to love Him deep enough to be able to resist the devil so he can flee. We are that powerful when we are in God. Jesus is the way to eternal life.
"Come to me all you that labour and are heavily laden, I will give you rest." This is the best welcome we can ever get from God, asking us to come into His rest. The road may look narrow and rough but the end if it is wealth, abundance and eternity compared to the ways of the cast down devil that is wide, broad and littered with enticing things but the end of it is anguish, paid and death.
The devil is unwanted which was why he needed leverage through the serpent. This only points to the truth that the devil can have no power or influence over us if we don't allow him. His influence is limited to the amount of space that we have given him. He is helpless and only roars without biting unless we engage him. We are responsible for how we turn out.
