There is no doubt, Tottenham deserve to be in the final showpiece. Even though they got a lucky draw, trust me, they worked hard for this and it would be a relief to see Tottenham lift a trophy...if they win the final anyway.
The long wait for the trophy is almost over but their have another opposition to face in the final and it is either Manchester United or City. United would be hoping to gun for revenge while City would cherish another challenge with Mourinho's Tottenham. It's a final, it can go either way.
Sissoko opened the scoring in the semi-final berth against Brentford last night in the 12th minute with a wonderfully executed header that left the keeper with no chance of saving. Tottenham wasted few chances and Brentford gave Tottenham a run for their money too.
Brentford had a goal disallowed for offside. They showed flashes of their brilliance too but Tottenham proved to be an insurmountable challenge for the visitors on the night.
With few wasted chances and other chances failing to come by, Son rounded up the night with a brilliant goal in the 70th minute when he was played through to mark Tottenham's second goal.
Brentford had a man sent off even though it was an accidental slip. The referee reviewed the VAR footage and still deemed it fit for a red card.
This game is usually a two-legged match but to ease fixtures congestion, only one leg is allowed this time around with Tottenham now focused on the league while waiting for the final opponent.
