We live daily here in mass hysteria
Our economy has been ravaged by cholera
It has eaten so deep into the core of our country's intestines
There was never a country called Nigeria
It's all a figment of our imagination
Because this country was built on lies, not patriotism
There is no glimmer of hope not even when we view through a prism
There is nothing we are good at, not even tourism
This country is a mess and we have clowns ruling it
Our votes don't count and our voice is silenced
We all know how the last peaceful protests turned out
There is no hope in sight and I am done praying for it
There is no home to come to where Nigeria is concerned
You'd be happy to leave if you ever leave the shores of this jungle
There is no unity, all facade, warned never to mingle
There was never a country called Nigeria
And maybe there never will be
This is my rant. I am so livid and you might have to forgive me for losing all sense of hope in this country. It seems like we have been cursed with the worst set of leaders and don't bother saying youth should run and take over because these lots are merciless. They would waste your life to the next generation and no one can bring them to justice.
I am tired and shaken to my very core with the way our leaders travel out of the country and yet they can't pick anything meaningful from their supposed exposures. You would have to question their intentions for going on their travels right now. They simply go enjoy, show off and of course, to fornicate. There is nothing they have added to this country and I want out. If that makes me unpatriotic, please, I want to be the leader of it.
Every glimmer of hope we have as a nation is being snuffed out. The youth have no soft landing. We have no equal footing. We are being relegated and kicked to the curb and for every voice we lend, they try to manipulate laws to suit their own purposes. They are selfish, ruthless, careless and backward thinkers. Nothing good can ever come out of them. They are full of dark powers, so don't even expect them to die anytime soon, hence why I said we are cursed with them already.
Generations that ought to have graced the grave still rules us as leaders. They are older than the country itself and they pride in it shamelessly. You cannot even shame the shameless as the popular saying goes.
The youth try so much to rise up, join the moving train in the world just to better themselves and yet they are snuffing the plans. It is not as though they have any plan laid out for us but they rule us with a poverty mindset. They know when we are poor, we would be at their mercy and when we are at their mercy, they would be able to control us and oppress us with money.
In a civilized world like this, where everyone is moving with the global train just to engage their youth and of course to reduce the unemployment rate which will, in turn, add to the GDP of the country, these old regards are banning cryptocurrency. The annoying part of it is that they have their coffers full of crypto investments but they hate to see youths get by with it. It would rather be them than the youth, hence the theory of the poverty ruling.
Ask them why they banned it and they would not have any economic reasons other than political due to the funding the youth got when accounts were frozen during the peaceful protests they turned into a blood bath. I am tired and have no energy left to expect anything good from this country. This is my rant and kindly indulge me. I need to get this out of my head and my system for the sake of my sanity. This country is crumbling and they are killing brilliant minds.
They are killing talents and turning everyone into criminals whereas they are the lazy ones sitting in an assembly that has nothing good to offer. Parliament is a gathering of idle people and yet they get paid for sitting. They are the criminals and would be overlooked for trials but the people who steal a tuber of yam just to eat and live would be jailed for 25 years while they walk free. I am not sure how instant judgement works but these lots have a free pass.
Don't say a word of prayer for Nigeria. Don't waste your energy. The youth will find a way to leave the country and let them rule their Octogenarian generation while having no active youth to do the hard work that is needed except for their own children whom they have not been taught how to think and work but to loot...that is if those children would even come to such a country.
I have so much to say and I am angry but let me drop my pen before the purpose of this write up is defeated.
