1 Samuel 22:1 (NIV)
David left Gath and escaped to the cave of Adullam. When his brothers and his father’s household heard about it, they went down to him there.
God brought you to the cave to change your perspective. Do you think God doesn't know or He doesn't care? The hairs on your head are numbered and no leaf falls from a tree without God knowing about it. God knows your going out and coming in. He sees everything. He knows about your struggles. God knows about your weaknesses. God knows about how life has dealt with you. God sees how you are struggling to hold on. God knows your limit and you haven't even reached it yet.
Life got so busy for you and the noises are so loud for you to even hear God. God brought you to this cave to get your attention because He is a jealous God. He brought you here at this point because He needs you to listen and do right so as not to be sieved by the enemy. This is God's delay tactics to get your attention because a speed bump can only stop you temporarily and not permanently. God is taking you through the cave to slow you down a bit and whisper into your ears what you needed to know for your next phase. Don't forget, if He allows it then it is because He can use it.
God knows the pain and trauma you are going through and He wants to whisper something to you. Don't let life get so busy for you that you won't make out time to listen to Him. He is in this storm with you but you only need to find Him in it. He won't only lead you out of this cave but He will make you a king. He is more than able to bring you to your wealthy place. Your breaking point is your breakthrough point.
Are you stressed out? Are you at your breaking point? Are you at your wit's end? Are you thinking there is no help for you? The person you thought was a burden can end up being a blessing and the person you thought was a blessing can end up being a blessing to you. God should be at the center of everything and I said that in the case of those who have been disappointed in people and maybe that's what led you to this point that you are.
Joseph was betrayed by his brothers and he went through a lot too. Job was advised to curse God and die. Saul aimed for the life of David and David had to even run for his dear life. The truth is, people will disappoint you. Those whom you think got your back would turn around and hurt you but that doesn't have to stop us from living. Faith in man would always lead to disappointment but faith in God won't.
Whatever you are going through, see it as God using it to draw your attention back to Him and to listen to what He has to say. He can speak through the storm, so God can speak to you also through whatever it is that you are going through.
