There are more questions for Mourinho due to this latest set back in the title race. With United winning against Leeds, Spurs have now slipped from the top 4 into 5th position.
From being the top of the league and grinding out results, Tottenham is out now searching for answers, thinking about what could have been.
They still have the quality but it looked as though the intensity has dropped and that is what dropping points do to you except your players are motivated and have a strong mentality.
They enjoyed their winning run for as long as it lasted and no doubt, it put them in a respectable position at least, on the log.
Leicester showed flashes of their brilliance and they could have won by 3 goals if James Maddison's goal wasn't chalked for an offside.
Tottenham found themselves trailing early on when Aurier clumsily clashed with Leicester player in the box - Wesley Fofana. A penalty was given and Jamie Vardy duly dispatched it with power.
Tottenham tried to level the matters but Schmeichel was up to the task to deny them and also Harry Kane couldn't keep his header down.
The second came which sealed the win for Leicester. Jamie Vardy burst into the box but his effort was deflected into the box by Toby which was counted as an own goal.
This defeat would leave a bad taste in the mouth of Mourinho knowing his team is drifting further away from the title and what better time to win it than this season.
Son was not on hand to provide a moment of magic for his side as well.
